Dorian POV

The wind shifted.

It was subtle - just a whisper through the trees, but my wolf snapped to attention. Tessa stilled beside me, her eyes narrowing, every line of her body sharpening into readiness.

“What is it?” she asked softly.

“I don’t know.” I scanned the horizon again. The camp below remained steady, disciplined. No signs of panic. No breach. And yet... Something was wrong.

Before I could answer, Rylan came running up the ridge, breath tight, eyes flaring. Blood on his collar was fresh.

“Scouts,” he said. “Three more were spotted to the west. Ashmoon took down one. Two got away. That makes four runners now.”

I frowned. “We only released two.”

He nodded grimly. “Which means they sent more than we thought. They're testing us.”

Tessa let out a breath, low and dangerous. “And now they know we’re organized. United.”

“Worse,” I said, looking at the horizon darkening even in the lightening sky, “they’ll assume we’re planning to strike.”

Dorian POVOne by one, they bent the knee. All of them. The sound of it was not loud - no thunder, no chanting - but it filled the air more powerfully than any war horn. Boots on dry grass. Armor creaking. The quiet sigh of surrender that was not weakness, but respect.Tessa didn’t move. She didn’t bask in it. Didn’t smile. She simply stood, her chin high, eyes level with the horizon, as if daring the next wave of horror to come at her - and welcoming it. And maybe that’s what made them drop faster.Because fear couldn’t hold power like that. But reverence? Reverence could move armies.I glanced at Rylan. His face was still, unreadable. But his eyes gleamed. Galen had dropped first among the warriors behind us - sword driven into the dirt before him, head bowed.Even the Highland Alpha - who would’ve rather bled than knelt - stayed on one knee now, jaw clenched, a man who’d once ruled through strength alone forced to recognize something greater. And then we heard footsteps. Measured.

  • Save Me, Claim Me   Chapter 144 : Speach

Dorian POVThe ridge was lined with banners from a dozen packs, wind snapping through the high air, scattering pine scent and war-born tension across the slope. Vehicles rolled to a stop in uneven rows, warriors and escorts emerging with quiet precision, some lifting their heads to scent the air, others gripping blades as if expecting a trap.I stood beside Rylan and Galen, arms crossed, jaw tight. Marcus hadn’t returned yet from his scouting run - not surprising. He knew as well as I did what kind of fire we were lighting with this meeting.Kira, posted at the southern flank, gave a brief nod. “ Finally. They’re all here.”A hush fell over the gathering as the final group stepped onto the field. The Highland Alpha - a scarred man with a voice like gravel - turned, scanning the field. “So. The girl speaks today?”“She does,” I said.He smirked. “Let’s see if she bleeds like the rest of us.”Every instinct in me flared - Kael growling deep in the back of my mind. Not yet. But gods, I w

  • Save Me, Claim Me   Chapter 143 : String Pulled Too Tight.

Tessa POVThe first thing I noticed was the weight. Not pain, exactly - though that came next. But a heaviness, like the earth had risen up to lie across my chest and refused to let go. I couldn’t breathe properly. Couldn’t move. My body was heat and ache and cold all at once. The second thing I noticed was him.Dorian’s hand in mine. His scent threaded through the smoke and healing herbs that clung to the canvas walls. Firewood. Blood. Storms held at bay. And something softer now - worry. Guilt. But also relief. My fingers curled around his slowly, my bones sluggish to respond. I felt like I’d been pulled from the heart of the sun. When I opened my eyes, light bled in gently from the side of the tent, filtered through cloth and dust. Every sound was sharper - the murmured instructions of healers, the soft clink of metal on porcelain, the uneven breathing of wounded warriors nearby.I turned my head just enough to see him.Dorian sat beside me, hunched, one hand bruised and bloodied

  • Save Me, Claim Me   Chapter 142 : Smoke and Blood

Dorian POVI dreamed of fire. Not the kind that warms or consumes - but the fire that remembers. That burns through lifetimes.A woman stood at the edge of it. Dark hair with silver threads caught in the wind. Eyes like mine. My mother - before the screaming, before the fall."You will burn," she had told me once. "But the world will burn worse if you don’t."Another vision showed, but this was diffrent. Tessa in a dark forest, a girl not yet awakened. Her hands trembling, blood on her palms, a voice whispering in her head: “You’re not meant to be small.”The forest shattered. Now I stood on a throne of bones. Tessa knelt before me, eyes silver, hair soaked in rain. "You could rule everything," she said. "But you won’t.""Because I want you more," I answered. The world split beneath our feet. And then I felt pain. Blinding. Crushing. Every nerve set alight. I tried to scream but choked on smoke. Not in the dream - real now.My eyes opened to sunlight fractured by smoke and movement

  • Save Me, Claim Me   Chapter 141 : Daughter Of Warlock

Tessa POVThe world was unraveling.Magic crackled through the air, sharp as lightning, thick as blood. My breath came fast as I forced my feet to move, heart hammering, body burning with the pull of something ancient clawing to the surface.Around me, the ridge exploded into motion. Wolves shifted mid-run. Arrows loosed. Cries of rage and pain tangled with the battle drums of feet pounding earth. The tear in the sky pulsed again - a gaping wound, bleeding horrors. The warlock stood at its heart. He didn’t move. Didn’t need to. With every beat, his corruption spread like smoke, sinking into the ground, into them. The creatures behind him weren’t natural. Some moved like wolves, others like broken men. Bone grew where no bone should. Their eyes glowed silver - not the light of the moon, but the dead light of stolen magic. That was something new.I ran toward the ridge, Sable snarling just beneath my skin. My hands glowed faintly, sparks licking my fingertips.“Let me in,” she growled.
