I had carried Rudina back to the house after she met with Lowell and Ashina. She was awed when Elis let her rub her fur. She had a smile on her face till we got back to the house. I took her upstairs to her room where she fell asleep minutes later. I knew I had pushed her too far but she seemed less fatigued. I wanted to ask if she also felt stronger with the full moon but I didn't want to pick at her many horrible memories.
I had gone back to my room so that I could get some time alone to speak to Conri.
” Why did you refuse to come out in the woods?” I demand.
I had intended to shift when Dreagar and Elis came but Conri wouldn't budge. It came to me as a shock as I could not understand why my wolf was not surfacing and taking form.
”You’ve not accepted her.” Conri retorts.
” I have been doing my best Conri. How else am I supposed to accept her?
