The first thing I saw, when I opened my eyes, was a bright sunlight that penetrated through the room. I squinted as it was hurting my eyes.

It was already morning. It meant I slept through the night. I flexed my muscles and held my breath. I waited for the pain to come but it didn’t. I was glad. I found out that I could sit up. I walked around the empty house before I went to go lie down. I saw the plate of food beside the bed, and found out that I had been spoon fed. I couldn’t see a picture of my host around the house so I settled back in.

As I lay back, I noticed that my wounds were now getting healed. I caressed them. Just as I did that, I began to remember how I had gotten to this here in the first place.
