As I clapped on hearing, Rudina win the first round of chess, my eyes strayed to where Klaus was sitting. He looked angry and the moment he caught me staring, I smirked at him. I mouthed the word ‘ loser’ at him. When I finished gloating, and was about looking away. I saw Klaus grin. He was smiling at me. And that was if telling me that the joke was on me.
