Volk stood from afar and could see the smoke emanating from the pack. His heart almost flew out of his mouth. He opened his mouth but no words made it out of it.

As he looked on, he could see someone running towards him and his other men. His men pissed to attack but Volk told them to slow down. When the man cane closer, Volk could see that he was one of their own. When he got in front of Volk, he fell to the ground. He had been out of breath, because he had been running.

“Tell me what is going on?” Volk demanded. He too could not control the rate at which his heart beat.

“Your highness, there was an attack by the blood moon pack” the man managed to say out of breath.

“What?!”Volk said. And in that moment he thought of His parents, Ashina and Lowell. He hoped they were not home yet but when he remembered Rudina, his heart almost shattered.
