When he answered the phone a familiar voice sounded from the other end of the line.“Hey you piece of shit. You didn’t tell me again. I swear, why do I always have to find out by accident that you’re here?” Jordan’s annoyed but not really angry voice echoed through the phone.Jaden chuckled. “Because I can count on you finding out anyways.”“Ugh I hate you. Saved by the Alpha .Chapter 23: Yeah. Let’s talk.Just a couple of days later he and Alfie went into the woods for a ‘walk’. Jaden had watched some videos about wolves, plus one longer documentary, and read a few paragraphs of the wikipedia page on wolves and was now a self declared professional. Not really, but at least he had something to work with.Maybe it wasn’t the reason for Alfie’s being this tense, but he had read that wolfs that didn’t get enough exercise often ended up feeling unsettled and restless. Maybe the fact that Alfie was around him so much was the reason for the aggression he had displayed. Hopefully a bit of walking through the woods would help with that.At least Alfie really seemed to enjoy it. For some reason he’d expected everything to have been a figment of his own imagination. To wake up and once again find out that Alfie still was a wolf and he had just been having the same recurring dream. But he didn’t. Instead he found Alfie lying by his side, rolled up into a ball with his head on Jaden’s chest like he always was in his wolf form, just that he was human this time.For a while Jaden simply watched him, feeling all warm and happy.
