**MANY YEARS LATER**

It’s the middle of the night when Iandor and Jay are woken up by a soft cry. The alpha groans, places a hand on Iandor’s shoulder when his mate tries to sit up.

“I’ll get her. . . You got her last time. You need rest,” Jay mumbles, blinking the sleep from his eyes.

Before he rises all the way, he palms the rounded curve of Iandor’s stomach affectionately and leans over to kiss the human gently on the cheek. Iandor doesn’t sleep well these nights, complaining about their unborn pup jamming their limbs up under his ribs or right into his bladder, so Jay knows that every moment of sleep the younger gets is precious.
