15. More Temptation

Outside, the city's lights were muted, casting an eerie glow that added to Carver's sense of disconnect from the world. The penthouse, high above the chaos of daily life, was his sanctuary. Yet, as he sat in the leather-clad chair, he felt a pull towards something he knew he shouldn't do.
