Chapter 20. Confession

Vincent sat in a chair with a simple table before him, staring at a glass of water. The sister who came to put the mirror away had probably left the room about an hour ago.

"Why haven't you drunk the water?" Zachary asked, then sat down in the chair facing Vincent.

"I don't want to drink now, Father. I..." Vincent paused and looked at the glass filled with water.

"My child, what exactly are you thinking? Tell me what happened to you," said Zach, persuading Vincent to talk. Vincent looked gloomy and continued to lower his gaze. Zach kept looking at Vincent and hoping he would say. He waited patiently, although Vincent still kept his mouth tightly shut.

"Do you know how this house of God accepts all His followers without exception? There is no unforgivable sin, my son." Zach was still talking to Vincent, who just looked at him.
