Rayvin woke the following day and stayed curled up in Mikael’s arms. Today, there would be no morning training. Today, there would be a funeral. It would be a tough day and she wanted a moment of peace before facing it. She felt Mikael stir next to her. “Is it time to get up?” he mumbled in a sleepy voice. Rayvin had to smile. The day after the funeral, Mikael was sitting in the meeting room in the pack house with Rayvin by his side. It would be the first alpha meeting for her as his luna. As always, the thought of her in her rightful place made Mikael happy. He logged onto the meeting and the screen in front of them filled with images of other alphas and lunas. Rayvin reached out and took his hand. Mikael loved how easily Rayvin had fitted back into his life and into the pack. It had helped that the pack never had believed the accusations against her and that they had been longing for a luna. Mikael had never been happier. Even now, as he was sitting in his office trying to focus on pack matters, he loved the way he could feel Rayvin’s emotions as subtle wisps in the back of his mind. Rayvin and Diana were training Laika and Hanna for the upcoming mission. Mikael could feel Rayvin’s excitement as she trained them, the pride and satisfaction when the warriors did well.
