Mikael held Rayvin’s hand in a tight grip as they walked into the dining hall. He knew what he needed to do, but he didn’t like it. Again, his father had caused unrest in the pack and again Mikael would have to clean the mess up and drag his family’s dirty laundry out in the open. Rayvin was sitting in her office in the house. She loved it and had taken inspiration from it when designing her office in the pack house. It was both sweet and a little disconcerting how well Mikael had guessed her taste when building the house, even after being separated for years. She didn’t know if it was due to him knowing her so well, or if she just had simple tastes that hadn’t changed since she was a teenager. As Diana and Rayvin handed out the coffee, Susan looked at Diana. “I don’t get how you can run a pack without a full top tier,” Susan said. Her ability to turn invisible meant she could have worked in bright red colours if she wanted. But it put her in the right frame of mind and sometimes it was good not to rely on your powers.
