Kidnapping?

Ah, she's always hated that devil.

The way he smiled at her with his arm stretched out made her sick to her stomach, but as much as she craves to spit on his face, she was forced to put up with him and smile.

With an umbrella, he leads her away from the rain and towards his black car, parked at the entrance of Rachel's house, while Rachel just watches from the window as her friend leaves.

"What are you doing here?" He asks as soon as he gets in.

Leia scoffs at his question as the answer is quite obvious.

"I live here, and I plan to do so until my husband returns," she breaks the news to him.

For a brief moment, there's a short silence as he drives with his eyes forward, giving the road his attention.

Throughout their drive, he doesn't ask any other questions which seems to please her, because the thought of a prolonged conversation with her enemy has her fuming with rage.

It isn't until a few minutes on the road that Leia realizes she has no idea where we're going.

"What about your in-laws?" He suddenly asks, making Leia eat her words as her peaceful drive comes to an end.

"And how about you? Why aren't you living with them?" She asks.

He glances at her, but only for a spilt second as he redirects his gaze back to the road.

Well, that ought to shut him up.

Besides, it was a good thing he was focused because Leia didn't plan to die anytime soon and certainly not in the same vehicle with him.

"Then I guess it's decided then," he says, changing the topic as if it were natural.

Upon realizing how quickly he changed the topic, her neck turns towards him as if it would snap at any second, but as much as she wanted to pester him on that, there was another unsettling thing.

Decided?

"What does he mean by 'decided'?" She wonders with a frown.

She certainly didn't recall deciding anything with him.

Leia is paralysed as she wonders what sort of crazy ideas Mark was having in his head, but whatever it was, it sure terrifies her to think of it.

"I don't remember coming to any conclusions with you," she tells him with a stiff expression.

Once again the car goes silent.

All she hears are the sound of the raindrops beating the car and the wipers moving side to side.

It's quiet… too quiet.

Mark suddenly stretches his hand forward. The next thing she knows, he's turning on the radio and switching channels while looking back and forth on the road.

When he finally stops at a station, the sweet tunes of Walt's echo around.

She suddenly feels light almost as if the weight on her shoulders is being lifted.

This song, she knew it too well.

Just as she starts to get ahead of herself and calm down, the memories associated with this song begin to creep in.

She holds on tightly to her seatbelt as she tries to block off those unpleasant memories.

However, her breathing starts to get ahead of her and she starts sweating despite the cold weather.

"Well that's all for our Beethoven symphony special, I hope you enjoyed tonight's special request," she hears the broadcaster say.

"Special request?" She repeats, staring at the person who could only be the culprit.

"It's nice to see you looking at me," he says with a smile.

His fingers drum on the steering wheel as he steals a couple of glances at her.

"I hate that song," she declares with her teeth jammed.

Mark chuckles loudly, "Well Mrs Sky if I remember correctly you used to love this song a lot, especially when you were tense.

I remember you telling me, it helps you relax."

It wasn't a surprise he knew her preference, he had known her long enough to do so, but she hated it.

After a short side glance at her, Mark hums a song to himself as he steers the wheel filled with jolly.

His happy moment however is crushed when a bright light from out of nowhere flashes before their eyes, causing Mark to hit the brake and his car to come to a halt with a screech.

Not ready for that, Leia finds her head going back and forth violently, and just as she's about to hit her head, she feels something shield her, although hard, it was certainly better than what she was about to clash with.

She looks up, trying to trace the source of that lifesaver when she finds Mark staring at her, his eyebrows gesturing to her to take a better look at what saved her. It was his hand.

"Did I almost die back there?" She questions with her heart running a mile.

Her eyes widen as she stares blankly at the car ahead of me, completely petrified and speechless.

Tak!

Mark opens his door and throws one leg out.

"I'll be back in a moment princess," he whispers to her as he helps himself out.

She watched him approach the car ahead of us and knock at the window of the driver.

A tall man comes out, he's looking dangerous from what she can see.

There's a bottle in his hand, and Leia gets pissed off by the obvious, seeing that he's been drinking and driving.

Thanks to the rain, she's unable to properly watch what's going on but the situation doesn't seem to be going smoothly as the man starts walking forward and Mark backwards.

"He's gonna die at this rate," she whispers to herself.

Tempted to come out, Leia reaches out to the handle when she sees Mark suddenly take out his phone.

"He's not making a call so I wonder what he's doing?"

Mark shows the man something and then reaches out to the dangerous-looking man, taps his shoulder and then walks back.

Carefully watching, she tries to read their lips, but the rain gets in the way, and the next thing she knows, the thug is in panic as he stands still by his car, unable to move until Mark arrives.

"Did I keep you waiting long princess?" He questions as soon as he enters.

Leia remains silent even after hearing his question, with her eyes fixed on the man who's still standing under the rain.

Curiosity gets the best of her and she opens my mouth, "What did you say to him?" She asks him.

He reaches out to her and strokes her hair, "you should know better, how angry I can get, and what I can do when I get angry," he says with an angelic smile.

"You're terrible," she responds, smacking his hand.

Never in her life would she have guessed that someone with good looks like him could be this terrible.

Mark gets the engine started once again and the two set off for their unknown destination, to Leia at least, and after a few more minutes on the road, she starts to get goosebumps.

The car starts to slow down, and yet, all she sees is a street, an empty street with street lights and no single car around, there are no houses around as well, but they continue to drive, although slowly.

She suddenly thinks to herself, "I should leave my location on, just in case".
