It's Time To Tango.

"Bring the dress over here."

"Where's her shoe!"

The morning begins with everyone running as if the earth is coming to an end.

Leia's room is crowded with people ready to assist her in her journey of getting ready for the grand event, as the day finally arrives.

To Leia's surprise last night, the place Mark was taking her to turn out to be his house and she wasn't in the best state to argue with him.

Sitting before the mirror, she feels her forehead, for a brief moment.

Her fever hasn't gone down, but she continues to wave it off whenever she's been asked about her unusual temperature.

"I'm fine," she tells them with a smile, and since employees aren't expected to meddle, they can only agree with her claims.

"Would you prefer these?" One of the workers asks, presenting her with the boxes of jewellery.

To Leia, It's disturbing to know that Mark remembers every detail about her, as everything before her was what she used to like before she changed her taste to become a new person.

"Don't you have any other designs?" She asks her, but the lady shakes her head sadly, and Leia is forced to come to terms with what is presented to her.

She takes a few minutes to decide as she pokes the corners of her mouth with her tongue.

"I'll have this one," she points out to a green slipper, but then Leia notices how brightly the lady beams with a smile on her face.

"What? Is there anything wrong?"

The lady shakes her head, but her smile isn't fading.

Leia couldn't help but notice how the lady itched to speak, and it was only a matter of seconds before she drew close to Leia and whispered.

"Mr Mark did say that you would like this design, he said very confidently that this might be your pick, but he told us to bring everything else nevertheless."

"Pardon?!"

"So this was Mark's choice!" She screamed inside.

Leia could hear her sanity snap in half as she lament over her decision, but it was too late to go back.

"Dammit!" She yells at herself, "To think I've fallen for his trick once again."

"Is there any problem Mrs Sky?" The worried lady asks.

Her question and the worry on her face bring Leia to the reality that the others were also staring at her.

Leia knew she was worrying them, and they must be doubting if she was pleased with their service.

"No there isn't, thank you all for your help, I'm mesmerised by what I see," she says to them.

Although her words were not able to convince them that she was fine, they did calm them down.

Staring at the mirror, she realises she does look beautiful, but just not for the right course or person.

"If he were here…" she thinks.

"We would have attended the celebration together."

Knock knock!

She hears a silent knocking at the door, and one of the ladies hurries over to see who it is.

As Leia stares into the mirror with the final touches being down, she spots the lady at the door blushing as she talks to the person outside.

"We'll be done in a few minutes," she giggles and then shuts the door before hurrying back to Leia's side.

"Your brother-in-law is pretty nice," she says while fixing up the final touches in Leia's hair.

"Oh really, what makes you think that?" Leia asks, glaring daggers at the lady who laughs nervously as she avoids Leia's gaze.

Her brows curve as she starts thinking.

She hums for a while and then after a long, finally speaks, "Because he's caring for you, not many people do that for family, not more, their sister-in-law."

If only she knew his caring for Leia was far ordinary, Leia could only wonder if she would still think of him as nice, especially with the small crush she's developed.

Clap!

"There you go, miss," cheerful to see her creation finally come to life, the young lady before her celebrates with joy.

"Hmm~"

Leia takes a proper look at herself in the mirror.

She turns her face sideways, and she couldn't help but notice the unrecognizable version of herself stunningly. They are good.

"You have gifted hands, this is beautiful," she compliments the ladies, and the girls start to giggle.

"I can't thank you enough," she continues, and the ladies start to blush.

One of them approaches her with a rose and hands it over.

"We compliment our clients with a flower that best suits them, and you're a rose," she says.

"How thoughtful," Leia thanked her, accepting her gift.

Leia smiles at the ladies, who together leave her room.

Clack!

As soon as the door closes behind me, Leia holds up the rose and stares at it.

"A rose—"

"How thoughtful," she murmurs, slowly twirling the flower, her eyes glued to its body.

Although beautiful, it's surrounded by thick thorns, if a person isn't careful, they'll get pricked.

Perhaps that's what she was.

No matter where she runs to, she always ends up hurting others.

As much as she wishes to escape her fate, it was catching up pretty quickly, but she has come this far, so she wouldn't give up now.

Summoning courage she rises from the chair ready to take the bold step outside, but when she reaches the door, Leia freezes.

"Do I open it?"

"If I do I'll have to face my past, but if I don't then I'll ruin everything tonight and tarnish the company's image." She questions.

Knock knock!

"Hey princess," I hear the devil's voice from outside.

"It's almost time, you don't want us to be late do you?" He says.

Ah!

I can't give up now.

My eyes start to feel heavy, my head ringing as I try to pull myself together.

My fever seems to be getting worse but I'll have to endure it, I can't cause a scene tonight.

Let's calm down Leia.

Finally, she gathers the courage needed and reaches for the door.

As soon as she steps outside, Leia's face almost collides with Marks who's been standing right outside the door.

"You look lovely, princess," he says to her with a devilish smile. "I just hope your pretty looks can help you get through tonight though."

"Get through tonight?!" She questions.

Something about his words gives her goosebumps as she glares at him but Mark starts walking so she grabs his arm.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Oh nothing, just wanted to tell you to remember not to screw this up, it's your company you're trying to save after all."

His words may sound reasonable but she doubts that his pretty heart is watching out for her.

"What are you planning to do?" She questions him.

"Leia!" He reaches out and grabs her by the hand, softly stroking it as he stares into her eyes.

"Don't touch me!" She yells, desperately trying to wiggle her hand out of his, but his grip is too strong for her to succeed.

"You can think of me as a villain, but I only want what's best for you," he says, but she can't help but read more meaning into his words.

"Mark Sky….

Just what are you up to?"
