Mag-log inI guess I had an explanation to do here. “I am not cheating on my wife. I wouldn't do such a thing. Martinez is by no means my concubine. You should be able to trust what I say,” I told him carefully. “Maybe before. I'm not sure about now,” Mike replied. “I saw Martinez, pal and I tell you, she is madly in love with you. Do you know that?” I took a deep breath, “Maybe.” “And you brought her here regardless?” Mike asked. “Let's say both of you have started with nothing major. Don't you know you are raising her expectations by doing stuff like this?” “Calm down, bro,” I told him firmly. “You haven't even brought your wife here yet you brought Martinez. You should know I am telling you this out of concern. Your…” Mike was saying until he spotted Martinez coming back. She came back to sit and a smile appeared on his face again. “What are you guys talking about?” Martinez asked, trying to feel involved. “Guys stuff,” Mike replied warmly. “I will leave both of you now. Enjoy your ev
I had been looking for an opportunity to tell Annie that I knew about her pregnancy and this seemed the best time to do it. We were about to make up, you know. “It is normal for women to have mood swings when they're pregnant. I understand all that has happened so far,” I told her calmly. I held her hand and smiled at her. However, Annie gave me a bewildered gaze. “I am pregnant?” She asked. “I am sorry but that's news to me.” I felt we had reached climax. However, this was looking anticlimactic. “What do you mean?” I asked, trying to get myself together. “Are you not… pregnant?” “I am NOT!” She exclaimed, intentionally stretching the last word.“But your menstrual period didn't…” I tried.“It came the day before yesterday,” she answered. “Were you calculating that? Even if you were, do you think if it doesn't come on the designated day, it means I'm pregnant? Some periods are irregular!” I sighed and looked away. I couldn't believe what was happening right now. “I must have ma
Julia's eyes weren't the same as before. She was glaring at me and that confirmed my suspicion, she wasn't herself. It felt like what drug abuse could cause. “Let's go, Julia,” I held her hand and pulled her towards me. She shook me away angrily. “If you don't wish to have fun, that's on you. You can't stop me from being like you. Don't be a killjoy!” She snapped at me. She leaned onto one of the guys now and told him, “Take care of the bitch, will you?” He kissed her forehead before he walked towards me. The rage building inside me had risen to a point where I could barely control myself. “You are hot, darling. Do you want to come along? I will be good to you, I promise,” he winked at me. The next moment, he slipped his hand around my waist and pulled me in. I hit his chest as hard as I could and he let me go, shock written on his face. “How dare you lay your hands on me!” I shouted angrily. “Careful now, bitch. You don’t want to know the taste of my fists, I promise,” he threa
Amelia drove me to the place where I was shooting my first scene. I had memorized my lines and even done practice with the other actors but I was still nervous. After all, I had never been involved in something so big like this. On the way, I saw Amelia keep glancing at me. “Focus on driving only. It's best for the safety of both of us,” I told her calmly. “I understand,” she replied. “However, I think you need to lighten up. It's your first shoot and I know you have high hopes for it. However, being nervous will make you prone to mistakes.” I smiled, “You think I'm nervous?” “It seems like you are,” she replied skeptically. “Maybe I am,” I sighed. Amelia didn't know but today's shoot was the least of my concerns. I had been giving Julian an attitude since yesterday, following what Maggie had said. I knew I was being played by her but I didn't know a better way right now. Julian wasn't the type to be threatened. If he heard about it, he would probably tell Maggie to do her worst.
I was fidgety tonight for a reason I wasn't sure of. Earlier, Annie left home with an unreasonable excuse. She looked worried when she left so I could tell that all wasn't well. I waited for her all evening, drinking soda to keep me up. When she finally arrived, I smelled alcohol on her. She must have been out drinking. I didn't stand up. Annie walked past me without a word. This was unusual. I stood up and went after her, catching her right at our room's door.“Where have you been?” I asked. “Who were you with? Did you drink?” “Which do I answer first?” She replied plainly. “You see, I am stressed right now. Can we do this later?” I sighed, “All I want to know is if everything is fine with you. You assure me that you can go to bed.” “And you will hold me back if I don't assure you?” Annie asked coldly. She pulled her hand away from my grip and stared at me squarely. “Get away from me, Julian. I don't want to see you.” I was taken aback. As she entered the room, I still went afte
The atmosphere was tense. Maggie looked like she had been forced to take a bitter pill while Julian seemed to be thinking about a thousand and one things at once. As for George, he looked relaxed. Sally didn't look too good. For a moment, I believed she would scold Maggie the moment they were both out of sight. And for me, I believed I was making the perfect expression right now. I haven't picked a side and I was neutral. Trust me, that was a big, fat lie. I had picked a side and everyone about the delusive side of him disagreed. My logical side accepted that so… Don't mind me, I was used to having two sides to myself. “This is all for our collective good,” I stressed, playing the perfect mediator or so I thought. “It is simple. Julian and his management will not address the issue publicly. Maggie will do no follow-up interview nor will she talk about it ever again. That's our silent approach, our strategy. And of course, both Julian and Maggie should limit the public appearances
