Paul's POV:

The door creaked shut behind me with a low groan, sealing off the dungeon and whatever twisted fate Elara had hoped for. I was finally out.

Darkness enveloped me as I stepped forward into the tunnel, the narrow passage stretching endlessly ahead.

Soft splashes accompanied the sound of my footsteps, enough to alert me that there was ankle-deep water in the tunnel, pooled around my boots.

I looked down again, blinking a few times to see clearly. And sure enough, every movement of my boots was sending faint ripples through the silence.

I trudged on, even as the air became increasingly dense with damp and rot, the ceiling so low in places I had to crouch.

For the first few minutes, I focused only on putting one foot in front of the other. But then, slowly, the tunnel began to widen. The still water turned murky, and the ground under my feet grew soft and volatile.

It wasn't just a tunnel anymore… I had walked into a swamp.

Mud clung to my legs with every step. Shadows twi

Lexie's POV:My scream caught in my throat before it ever reached the air.One moment I was standing on the hilltop, smiling faintly as the wind danced through my hair and the horizon stretched endlessly before me… and the next, the ground had vanished beneath my feet. The world tilted violently as I stumbled forward, arms flailing, heart leaping into my mouth.I didn’t trip, I knew that for sure… I was pushed.I felt the sharp jolt of hands against my back and knew, Katrine had done it. The same girl who had woken me up gently this morning, had handed me warm tea, who had brushed a strand of hair behind my ear and said that she wanted us to make some memories today. That same Katrine had just shoved me off a cliff.I slid fast, gravel and dust scraped my knees, and my palms burned as I clawed at the ledge, somehow managing to catch it with both hands. My legs dangled wildly into the abyss. My slippers slipped off instantly, vanishing into the emptiness.Below me was a sheer drop… th

  • Scar : the rejected Luna   165. Old faces

Jonas' POV:I had never liked handing over my phone before a council session. It wasn’t about the rules, I understood them thar. From no distractions, no breaches of privacy, no recording devices in the room, everything made sense since it was just supposed to be the Alphas and their sworn betas in attendance. But today… today it felt different. There was a strange kind of itch beneath my skin, a tightness in my chest I couldn’t name. Even though Katrine had promised she would take care of everything, even though she had said it with that calm confidence that used to soothe me, something still didn’t sit right. She was with Lexie. That should have been enough, but I was feeling uneasy I had arranged the entire trip myself, a quiet retreat into the mountains. Just two of the most important women of my life: one by blood, one bt fate, away from the chaos of the camp. They would get some time to breathe, reconnect and heal their misunderstandings as well as their individual wounds. T

  • Scar : the rejected Luna   New Beginning

Author's POV:The sun was yet to rise over the horizon when the peaceful morning was interrupted by the crunch of tires against gravel as a sleek black taxi rolled into the driveway. Jonas had left a few hours earlier, leaving detailed instructions behind. His attendants were already loading the luggage into the trunk by the time Lexie and Katrine stepped outside.Lexie rubbed her eyes, still heavy with sleep. A yawn escaped her lips as she wrapped her shawl tighter around her shoulders. “Everything has been loaded, Miss!”One of the attendants said as he shut the trunk.“Thank you,” Lexie replied softly, glancing at Katrine.Katrine didn’t say much. She simply nodded and gestured toward the open car door. Lexie slid into the back seat, feeling her drowsiness returning as soon as she sank into the warmth of the cushioned leather. Katrine followed, settling beside her without a word. The car pulled away, and the camp gradually faded behind them.As they drove further, the roads narr

  • Scar : the rejected Luna   163. Mine!

Katrine’s POV:I cried out as I came, shattering around him, nails digging into his back. And as I clenched around him, he groaned… deep and raw, and spilled inside me, hips jerking, arms locking around my waist as he emptied himself into me.When I looked at Jonas he was staring at me like I was the only thing in the world that mattered to him.I leaned in, brushing his sweaty hair off his forehead, placing a kiss there. I let my fingers slide across his chest, tracing the tight lines of muscle, following the rhythm of his breathing. Jonas’ arms were loose around my waist, fingers resting lightly on the curve of my lower back. He exhaled, cupping my waist tighter. “You’re beginning to feel like home, Kat…” He murmured.I smiled sweetly. “Mmm… you are my home.”I hummed, leaning against him. Then, slowly, I shifted off his lap, brushing my inner thighs together, feeling the heat and wetness still dripping from between my legs. His eyes followed the movement, dazed and drunk on e

  • Scar : the rejected Luna   161. Hers, at last*

Author's POV:The healer sat quietly for a moment, hands folded in her lap, eyes fixed on Paul. He stood tall, but she could see the faint tremor in his fingers, the tension straining across his shoulders. His mind was clear, but his body still bore the weight of what had been done.“I’ll help you,” she finally said, her voice calm and resolute. “I have seen the truth in your eyes, Paul. The kind of love you carry… it doesn’t come often. And clearly, nothing and no one can convince you to stay away from your mate.”Paul’s shoulders relaxed slightly. A quiet breath left him, as if he’d been holding it all this time. The healer’s gaze softened, but her words still held weight. “Even though helping you will break my granddaughter’s heart,” she continued, “I can’t commit more sins. Not when it’s so clear what the Moon Goddess herself wants.”Paul met her eyes, silent but listening.“She gave you this bond for a reason,” the healer said. “If that injection couldn’t sever your connection…
