She recognized the summer blue colour of her bedroom walls. Her head was pounding, her body rigid and achy. But all-in-all, she felt somewhat alright. From the closed curtains and the fairy lights on, she could tell it was already dark out. She blinked a few times, pushing tussocks of her hair out of her face. She slowly reached over her temple and expected any twinge of unbearable pain. But there wasn't any. She tapped her forehead and scowered around her head, no injuries. She was clean. "What?" The teen was sure she hit her head. She sprang upright from her bed and repeatedly touched her face. No scars, no lacerations. She remembered having gashes on her forearm from the branches. But there were none. Nothing. Gone. As if she was never inflicted. "How long was I out?" She whispered to herself. Scarlett shifted to her open bedroom

It was confusing her, she knew she had scratches. But maybe her concussions made it all feel real. And the Vampire that almost killed her? Maybe he wasn't real either. She was starting to believe her uncle and accept the reality. She should probably stop reading the Twilight novels. But...she was sure she heard Gadiel's voice. But what happened to them? Did they get killed? She never actually thought about it. She never asked her uncle about it because she was pretty afraid to ask. Just before school was about to start, she was about to enter her classroom. But before that, she stopped at the conversation coming from inside. "What do you think we should do? Students began running around and filling the space of the halls, some stuffing their books into their lockers while some remained chatting with their fellow classmates. At the sight of Scarlett walking by them, a few began to whisper conspicuously. "Seriously? Her? In the Specials Class? That group of weirdos?" "Yeah, but...she's the only one we can see here. The person who answered first was Shawn's dad, 'Bryce'. He was a taller buffer version of his son. Same dark hair, same brown eyes. With a manly beard and wearing a grey shirt that didn't fit his biceps. He was taller than Joshua, considering he looked a like shrimp compared to the man before him. He even had a smell of musk around him. Bryce had a utility belt around his waist, wearing dark blue denim and dark boots, that seemed like it was someone working for law enforcement. "No problem. She and her students, except for Scarlett, resided in Principal Garrix's office. Gadiel, Fortune, and Ada were the only ones standing up. Nicolai and Sapphire sat together on one of the principal's sofas, while Danté slouched on the other. The Principal himself sat at his office chair in front of his large desk. His hands tented together in front of his face while the pale cloudy light from the window reflected onto his glasses. Surrounding them were bookshelves with a plethora of book genres with spine colours from maroon to moss green. Next to the sulphur yellow-eyed Principal, was Aisha. "Are you sure you saw Jagger?" Yesterday, Kayley was there, the most popular girl in school. High ranked and bowed down before. Next thing, no one knows her. Which was the epitome of weirdness in Scarlett's point of view. She was getting a little creeped out by the whole situation. But Kairos looked around with a cool and collected energy, while her carroty orange eyes began to glisten. 'Something definitely happened. This can't be normal. Unless...could it be the work of... ...Mythic magic?' Everyone had no recall of Kayley. So this was the work of magic, that was what Kairos thought. 'If only mortals get affected by 'this' kind of magic, then...' Kairos then looked over to Scarlett, who was unaffected by all the amnesia. But Scarlett was a mortal like everyone else in the school, she should've gotten affected. Right? 'Unless...'
