ELSIE’S POV

“And then I heard that Selene had been attacked by some rogues,” Zach said, as he got dressed. I laid back in bed as I heard everything that he was saying. We had started the day off on a good note. He held on to my hand while he slept, and I could swear that my heart did a somersault. I watched his hands in mine throughout the night, and everything seemed fine.

Even after he had put me in the dungeon, I was more than willing to forgive him. I was more than willing to be in control again. To make him become obsessed with me just as he was when that stupid Anna was in the way. But then, he said her name. And that made me take my hands away immediately. That didn’t stop him from whispering her name again.

“Selene,” he called out in the softest way and I got up from the bed immediately. He woke up, not even knowing what he had actually done.

Now, as I watched him talk about how Selene got attacked by something that I had planned with my own

ELSIE’S POVSelene blinked twice like I had grown two heads. “I’m sorry. I’m… not interested.”I couldn’t help but cock my eyebrow. “I’m sorry, but did I do something wrong in the past? Did I do something that hurt you?”“No,” Selene said. Her voice was so cold that it sent shivers through my spine. It was almost like she was lying to me. I wasn’t willing to give up just yet.“I know that I’ve caused you harm. I’ve hurt you. I’ve said things that I shouldn’t have. But I’m sorry. Only a few people have actually believed my words and apology. I want you to be one of them over and over again.” That was my favorite line that I had always used for my sister dearest. Those were the exact statements that allowed me to have her husband wrapped around my finger. That was the exact statement that led her to her grave.“It’s nothing about what you’ve done.” She said, as she narrowed her eyes in front of me. I hated the way she stood like a statue th

ELSIE’S POVThere was nothing better than finding out how sneaky and smart that I could be myself. I never expected that I was going to actually see Selene at the resort. But of course, I was in luck and my reservation at the hotel wasn’t a waste. I was long due for some relaxation anyway. The way she looked at me was more than enough to tell me that I was the last person she wanted to see at that point in time. If only she knew that the feeling was mutual. In fact, I didn’t want to see her at all. I wanted her out of our lives. I had gotten Ana out of the way before. She was going to be a piece of cake. Ana was my sister. And she was just a stranger that was trying to ruin my plans of making Zach worship me just as he should. I didn’t even know what it was about her.“Elsie,” she said, like my name tasted bitter on her tongue. But I could do this all day. Might sound petty, but I really didn’t care. “Fancy seeing you here. Honestly.”

ANA’S POVI exhaled sharply as the car drove through the resort’s gates. It was almost like I was leaving every single one of my problems right outside the gate. But now that I was even thinking about it, I didn’t really have any problem. Everything was okay with me. Len was finally okay. I only saw the healing spring as a way to just let go of the pain. A way to forget everything that had happened in the past, and make everything work right now. I needed to bring Len and Logan together again. I could still see the little bit of annoyance and hostility on Logan’s face. It was almost like he still had some kind of doubt when it came to Len. I saw the way his hands were folded on the stirring wheel. He held so tight until his knuckles turned white. I couldn’t bear to see both of them like that. I wanted them together. The strong twins that I always knew. Not these strangers that felt bad that they had to share with me. “We will be fine,” Len

LOGAN’S POVI didn’t know if I was supposed to be glad or not when I found out that Len wasn’t going to be coming with us to the resort that Rowan had made reservations for. It was more or less of a healing spring for Selene and even if I didn’t want to say it, I was in full support of it. If I was looking at his position, I might have said that he had other plans in mind. Almost like he was trying to keep Selene away from the palace. But I couldn’t deny the fact that he genuinely cares. “Is everything set?” Selene asked, and I nodded, as I dropped the bags down. The maids were in the room immediately, taking the bags downstairs. Selene exhaled sharply. “It’s not going to be the same without Len,” she said, and I frowned. I knew that already, but I didn’t want her mentioning the name of the same person that was going to continuously hurt her without even thinking twice. I didn’t know how that was going to work. And honestly, I didn’t want her bother

ANA’S POVI was barely coming out of the room, but I was getting better. I could finally breathe properly, talk properly and have fun with Logan. He was the only one that constantly came to check up on me. Len only came once, and I could tell that something was bothering him even if he refused to say what it was. It was almost like I had done something wrong by telling him to ask Logan to calm down the other day. But as far as I was concerned, it was nothing that I had to worry about. Len was going to be fine. I didn’t know what was up with him, but I could only hope that it wasn’t something that I was going to have to stress myself over. He was the perfect man to me. I wasn’t ready for him to ruin that beautiful image I had of him. The best I saw of the pack was the outskirts. I couldn’t really watch the pack grounds from my window. Unless I wanted to break my back that wasn’t even totally healed. I was constantly asking Logan how Rowan was handlin
