KANE’S POV

These elders made me feel something I detest. They made me feel useless and trapped. My heart, my mind, my body, and soul cried out as I watched my mate fall to the ground and unable to save her made me feel useless.

I was trapped on a chair and there was nothing I could do but watch in slow motion as she fell to the ground. I wanted to rush to her and check if she was okay but still.
