Chapter Twenty Nine

"What did that old man say to you that made you so red?" Jin Chen had been in the bathroom while Yang Lifei was talking to his mother. He knew how his mother would get chummy with his wife and would take long on the call so he left them alone only to come back and find his wife's face all red.

"Nothing Chen. Are you done?" Yang Lifei couldn't tell Jin Chen what his father had said so she decided to change the topic. She was already red enough.

"Are you sure?" Seeing Yang Lifei avoiding his eyes, Jin Chen knew that his father might have teased her. If it was just his mother, Yang Lifei could not have been so flustered because they have been spending a lot of time on the phone that they almost looked like sisters gossiping about everything almost everything.

"Yes, yes. Let's get to bed. We have to be in the office tomorrow morning," she quickly got under the covers to hide her face.

"Alright wifey," Jin Chen decided to let her off. But he still wondered what his father might have said to
