There was a light knock on the front door at six o’clock in the morning. Hadrian closed the refrigerator door and walked to the door. The multicolored cabinets no longer even caught his attention as he passed. But the small dirty finger and handprints on the glass sidelights did. Peeking through the sidelights, he was surprised to find Electra on his front porch with two grocery bags.
“I thought we said seven.” Hadrian said, opening the door.
