Chapter 13“I’m nervous,” I said holding Cassy and taking Jason’s hand as we entered the small room I had visited many times with perspective adoption parents. Chapter 11Mom said, “Tessa, my dear, you look so beautiful!”I stood in front of the mirror looking at myself. I had put my hair up just as I did for the Christmas party. I was wearing a long dark blue dress that had white flowers on it. It was tailored to my waist and low cut in the front. I wore small heels and added a baby’s breath arrangement in my hair. Chapter 10The following morning I was released. Jason had slept next to me on the floor all night long. I couldn’t convince him to leave. When they opened the door, he held me so tight. I didn’t have any tears left to cry. I just held on to him. He told me to go home and to take the day off. But I couldn’t wait. Chapter 9 The holidays have come and gone. I hired someone to refurbish my floors and they came out amazing. My condo felt like home now that I had put my finishing touches on it.
