Chapter 5

Emma

I was really sleepy, when Oliver brought me to the room and laid me on the bed I was out. But my peace did not last long, a sound woke me up. I sat and saw Luna Evelyn looking at me. She grabbed me and threw me out of the bed, I was shaking out of fear because I knew that she wanted to do the worst things to me. She stood in front of me and spoke:

Look at you, you can not even defend yourself, you are so pathetic, Do you think that Oliver will punish John, for what was done to you? I will tell you that it will not happen, you are wrong. You know that you are useless right? I will tell you something. No one loves you, your patent abandoned you, your mate rejected you, your pack hates you, and Oliver will also leave.

Before she could continue speaking the door was opened. I did not dare to look up. Maybe someone else wanted to punish me. After a few seconds, I was in somebody’s arms, Evelyn left the room, and I relaxed when I felt the sparks. I do not want him to leave, I do not want him to abandon me.

Hush baby, Please do not cry. I am here now, no one is going to hurt you. He spoke gently while touching my hair. His voice was amazing, soft, and sweet as chocolate.

He was holding me and stood up with me. My arms were around his neck and my legs wrapped around his body. He walked out of the room.

While he was walking I looked at his face. He was angry.

- Are you angry at me?

- Do not even dare to think that.

- What? I was confused

- I am not angry at you, you are so cute. You are my mate and you did not give any reason for me to be angry at you. He said smiling slightly.

- Then why are you angry?

- Why do you think that I am angry?

- You have that expression on your face as if you are angry.

- I am angry at this stupid pack, at the Alpha because he rejected you and did not protect you, at Evelyn for everything that she told you, and at the whole pack because they hurt you and even now are making you suffer because of them. He said with an icy voice.

He took me to the gym. Almost all pack warriors and adult members were there. He put me on my feet, but his hand was still on my waist. When they saw us, everyone went quiet. Oliver spoke:

- As you, all know my name is Alpha Oliver, and I am the Alpha of the Crown pack. I came with my Beta to the gathering in your pack this year and I am glad I did. Here I saw and had the luck to meet my Luna, my mate, Emma. I know you all know her, and if you do not, meet Emma.

He took my hand in his. My head was down, I was forbidden to make eye contact with the other pack members. He put his hand under my chin and held my head up. He smiled at me with a gentle look in his eyes and made me feel everything was going to be okay. I smiled at everyone. I received only glares.

- I heard what you have done, I do not know why you did what you did, but I am here to tell you that we will stay here for a while and I am going to make you pay for everything you did to her. As for you alpha John, because you did not protect her even though she was your mate I have something special for you. He said with a smirk.

Everyone went pale. Even I thought to myself. “What is he up to?”

I knew that he was upset because of everything that my pack did to me, but I did not want them to suffer and I did not want my mate to be responsible for that suffering, even though they were bad toward me I was not vindictive and I was not a bad person. I wanted to say something, to tell them that we will not do that, but I could only look at Oliver's face and notice the smirk.

- Oliver... I said with a low voice.

- Yes baby?

- Please we can not hurt them, they are still my pack.

- Baby do not worry, we will just play a little, we will not hurt them..... badly.

- Oliver, I know you are upset, but.... he put his index finger to my mouth and stopped me from speaking.

- Please baby do not worry, I will not hurt anyone if that is not your wish, but I have to let out my anger and I have to avenge you. 

I nodded my head. I did not know what to say to him, he was the first person after my parents that was caring for me and maybe liked me. I knew that he will not stop after everything they did, but I was not planning to stop him, just to make him realize that they are not worth it and that we can leave this place because it had bad memories for me and I wanted to finally be happy.
