I left my place, not minding of how this will end up for the both of us. I was shaking and there were so many I wanted to voice out, but none of them escaped my quivering lips.

Stopping them will be useless. I made my way towards Samuel. The man who stabbed him was already determined to stab Samuel for the third time if not only his body gave up.

Extending both my arms, I tried to catch him. But with his weight all on me, we both ended up on the ground.

Blood was gushing out of his mouth along with his profusely bleeding cut open stomach. Covering Samuel with my tiny body, I shut my eyes as I waited for my death.

A couple of minutes had passed and yet I remained untouched. When I slowly lifted my head back up, I was puzzled and relieved at the same time to see the group of men leaving.

Right after they vanished from my sight, I blew out a sigh. And although I’ve got so many questions building up in my head, I chose to push them aside and do what will matter.
