Chapter 18 - Get On The Train Now

"Who was that?" Dave asked while driving the car out of the downtown area.

Anna bit her lip nervously. A sudden nervousness overtook her though it was a fair question. Dave asked about him, which was only natural because he barely knew the people around her. She, too, would react the same way. It was like an automatic reaction.

Oh, she felt like she was caught off guard.

"I'll admit something." Finally, she said something that surprised him, too. How came? A simple question ended in a confession. That was weird, wasn't it?

"Bec seems to want to set me up with him," she continued after taking a deep breath. And after saying that, the burden seemed to disappear.

"You and that guy?" That was his first response.

Anna nodded doubtfully. But realizing he couldn't see it, she replied, "I think so. Bec introduced him to me at her wedding." Her sentence sounded the same. Doubt and... afraid? But, what was she afraid of?
