Caroline’s last view is the light flashing from a car and then someone pushing her down. Someone wrapped their arms protectively around her. When the car passed, the silence continued.
“Are you insane? Why are you standing in the middle of the car?” She heard someone scold.
“Caleb,” she recognized her brother’s voice. Both got up from the ground. Caroline didn’t even tell thanks to her brother, but looked for Becca. There’s no sign of Becca on the street. How did she vanish within some seconds? Is it true that Becca’s alive? But they buried her.
“Answer me, Caroline,” Caleb brought her back to reality.
“I saw Becca, Caleb. I saw her real. She...she...” Caroline is out of words. All she can hope is her brother should trust her and Caleb believed her. He already had the experience. He looked at her with his jaw open.
