Playing Lacrosse isn't safe

PLAYING LACROSSE ISN’T SAFE

“I never loved him. I want his money and power.” Becca willingly told this to tiffany.

“But he loves you, Becca” Tiffany widened her eyes in shock. “Mm... what should I do for that?” she shook her head, did some make-up, and walked away. Tiffany followed her.

Ruby stopped the video and came out of the half-opened door. “This is what I want. I won’t let you get my boyfriend or cheat on others. I need some help,” she muttered to herself, running out of the bathroom. As soon as she was out, she spotted Chloe talking with Ian.

“Chloe,” she began approaching them but trying not to interrupt their conversation.

"What happened?" Chloe asked, looking at her pale face.

“I need to talk with you alone,” She looked at Ian, hoping he will leave.

“Fine with me,” he shrugged. “Okay, now don’t take it wrong. Just give me a minute to show you this.” Ruby fumbled to take her phone. Chloe gasped at seeing it and checked whether no one was noticing them.

“Duh. She wants my brother. I should warn him.”

“Yeah, but now that doesn’t matter. I know Caleb won’t fall for her games. Iam feeling sorry for Daniel.” she explained.

“I appreciate your kindness. But do we need to care about an actor? because involving in Becca’s personal issues is dangerous.” Then something hit her mind. Care knows Daniel. Cause Chloe saw both of them sitting and eating in the Caffeine together. She didn’t know how it’s possible but she saw that with her own eyes when she was passing by. ‘What if Care can contact him?’

“I got this. Send this to me.” Ruby looked confused about her plan.

“Where are you going?” she called Chloe, who walked away after she got the video.

“Trust me, I got this.” soon she reached the Caffeine." Care," she shouted, seeing Bill.

“The kitchen is well-taken care of, sister,” he responded.

“uhm... no time for fun. Where is care?” he pointed his hands at her and walked past her.

she explained it to her.

“I know you only saw him once. But Ruby needs your help”

“No, I met him today,” she replied with a brief hesitation.

“Wow, amazing. Tell the story after school. Do this now,” Chloe acted like she doesn’t know it because this is not the right time to tease her sister and also teasing others is not a habit for her.

Care nodded and felt a little confused. She doesn’t want to involve in anyone’s business, especially not Ruby. Daniel doesn’t even know about Becca’s character. How do they meet each other? It’s none of her business.

“Done. I sent it,” she lied. Care didn’t even take it as a serious problem. She already knows the true self of Becca, which is clearly seen through her face. After Chloe left, she regretted it.

‘Can I send it or not? What will he think of me if he knows that I forbid to help him? I know there’s no chance of knowing it, but what if Chloe misunderstands me?’ she thought to herself.

“Caroline,” Clary yelled her name seeing the oven.

“Oh, my god. I am coming.” She rushed as she forgot to take off the Oven in time.

....

He tricky, he tricky, he’s hard to read

Nothing with him is ever concrete

Every time I think we got the time

Is it a sign that we keep missin’ the signs?

Now you got me acting all crazy

Thinking that you’re gonna wait for me

Tiptoeing on a tightrope

A step away from a wrong note

The cheerleader’s song was louder than the audience’s sounds. It’s lacrosse final practice for their upcoming match. Everything is perfect. Caleb was so into the game and didn’t even notice Ruby came to see the game. He’s covered with gloves, helmet.

“He’s so good at this. I am waiting for the final match,” Ruby said excitedly.

"Me too. My brother going to rock this." Chloe responded and ate French fries in the middle of the game. It’s been hours since she talked with Care. She trusted her with that job and forgets about that whether it reached Daniel or not.

“Iam going to come there in costume,” Ruby said.

“What costume?”

“That’s a secret.” She winked. Suddenly there’s a loud scream from the Lacrosse players. The game stopped, both wings and raven’s team crowded towards a place. Ruby and Chloe ran to that crowded place. Ruby can’t spot Caleb. She called for him. All she can see many panicked faces around her. Something’s worry. They both mingled between the players.

“Stop right there.” Sookie stopped Chloe and glanced at Ruby.

“Half of the ground cracked apart like there's been an earthquake. We don’t know how it’s happened,” she explained in a panic.

“And Caleb fell inside it,” she added slowly.

“Where is he” she got frightened.

“Calm down. They are getting him out.” Sookie shouted at her. Chloe froze in her place in fear. Students are pushing each other in the crowd, can’t able to move forward. Chloe was holding Ruby’s hand in panic. She let go of her hands and went inside. The view came after some minutes. The ground is cracked apart. Still, she can’t able to see Caleb. The hole is deeper than she expected. A long tunnel goes inside. She spotted a rope through which students were coming up from the hole. “I will help you,” Ruby volunteered to pull it.

“No, we can do that. Go away,” a boy snapped.

“I SAID I WILL HELP,” she yelled like she never did before. Anger showed up in her voice for the first time. For a minute the boy couldn’t help thinking, is she, Ruby? He let her do it with others. Principle and other teachers surrounded the ground. The remaining students moved to a safe place.

Finally, with everyone’s help, they can able to pull the students up. At first, Caleb popped up from the hole with lots of scratches on his body. "There’s are three girls down," Caleb told breathlessly.

“We are on it,” Scott replied, and other teachers helped the remaining girls. Ruby hugged him tighter, crying on his shoulder.

“I am good. Don’t worry.” he consulted in that state. She nodded her head, and Chloe joined them.

“What’s down there? I really got worried.”

“I don’t know. The tunnel goes longer and also there are many broken branches. Is this tunnel excited all these times in our school? I can't believe it.” He looked at his scratches, which tore his skin apart in his hands, legs.

“Right now, you need to go to the hospital,” Chloe ordered, grabbing his hands lightly by not hurting him. Before they can walk, the ambulance sound buzzed in their ears. The cheerleading three girls came out with more injuries than Caleb. Four of them got into the ambulance, accompanied by Scott. “Go home, Ruby. I will go with Caleb,” Chloe told her and sat next to Caleb.

“I got afraid. I won’t be a cheerleader unless it’s safe for us,” Bianca, the raven team girl, yelled at no one in particular.

“We will soon solve it.” Scott simply said, keeping his hands on his head in anxiety.

“The tunnel goes into the woods,” Caleb said nervously.

“What do you mean?” Chloe questioned his brother.

“You all know the woods, right. That’s where it goes. I am sure of it,” he said mentioning the part of the Roshord near the graveyard fully filled with trees and bushes. It looks just like the forest and the creepiest place in the town.
