Chapter Four

She was really finally free! Tears threatened to fall down her face but ones of inexplicable joy. No longer would she have to deal with her wicked stepmother or evil stepsister anymore.

Gina continued running wanting to still get her as faraway and further as possible. They were not totally safe yet.

Someone could still notice and follow after them.

Another hour passed, until they were finally far enough causing Gina to finally start slowing down.

She stopped near this road, causing Ella to finally get off as she too shifted back to human. Ella handed her some clothes to put on from her backpack.

“Now we wait for him,” Gina spoke, inviting Ella to sit with her by a big rock as they stayed hidden by the trees.

“Gina thank you,” Ella could not help thank her with so much gratitude, Gina was like a fairygod mother in those fairytale stories who had helped her in her time of need.

Gina had even risked her life too and could get punished if any of the pack members or the Alpha ever found out that she helped Ella escape.

“You do not need to thank me. You are my sister and we are family. I would gladly do it again,” Gina replied, accepting Ella`s grateful hug.

Before they could speak more, a black jeep then arrived.

Gina stood heading for it, Ella followed behind.

Out of the car came a human male, he was very cute and almost Gina`s age but older maybe by a year.

By the look in Gina`s eyes as she looked at him, Ella quickly realized he was Gina`s mate. Gina`s mate was a human!

“Did Kev and Ed manage to keep them distracted without making them suspicious?” she asked, as he walked forward to hug and give her a sweet kiss on the cheek.

“Yes babes, my friends are great troublkemakers, they kept those guys busy.” Gina`s mate replied, staring at her with eyes full of love, that kind of stare of someone willing to do anything for her.

“Good, and thanks babe,” Gina responded giving him a quick thankful kiss on the lips.

“I want you to meet Ella, my beloved sister.” As Gina introduced her as her sister, Ella was very touched.

“Ella this is my mate, Sam.” Gina continued,

“Nice to meet you,” they both said at the same time. Ella could see that Sam was a good man and was proud that he was Gina`s mate.

“Ella, Sam`s brother is a truck driver. He travels long distance away and so Sam is going to help you hitch a ride with him. For your safety I need you as faraway from this place as possible.  They can still catch and bring you back.” Gina continued,

Ella nodded, she too wanted to be faraway from here.

“In the back pack, there is some money for you to make a start somewhere new. Do no trust trust anyone. Just make sure to blend in among humans okay, never let anyone know you were once in a pack.” Gina continued, now giving advice like a motherly hen, with a worried look,

She knew that Ella had never been exposed much to the outside world and this would be her first time. So she was a bit worried not wanting her sister to fall again into the wrong hands.

“Gina, do not worry about me okay. I will be fine.” Ella finally said, giving her little sister a reassuring smile.

Gina nodded while handing over Ella`s backpack for Sam to place in the car.

“About Sam, what are you going to do,” Ella asked as Sam was far busy in the car.

She knew how their pack hated humans and was worried what her wicked stepmother would do to Gina if she found out. She would even force her own daughter to mate with another wolf is she could.

“I will continue keeping Sam a secret. I am in last year of highschool and plan to leave and got to a faraway college once I graduate. I will mate with Sam and never come back.” Gina replied, also giving Ella a reassuring smile.

Sam finally came back, saying he was ready.

“I love you and I will miss you Sister,” Gina whispered looking emotional as she hugged Ella for one last goodbye.

“Me too and thank you,” Ella replied giving Gina one last goodbye hug before finally getting into the car.

Gina shifted back and turned to start running back to the pack. She wanted to arrive in time, while Sam`s friend where still distracting the border patrol.

Then she would pretend she did not know where Ella was so as to not be made a suspect.

As the car drove away, Sam turned on the radio playing a calming tune. Ella smiled resonating with the tune, she finally had her freedom.
