Chapter Nineteen

Willow’s POV

“She’s my mate,’ I heard Xander announce proudly.

“What?” I ask, my mouth agape.

Xander stood straight, giving him an extra inch to tower over me. When did this happen? Has he always known she was hit mate, or did they just meet?

“Pete and I came to look for you and when I came in Zane went crazy. I have waited so long to find her,” he was crying and laughing.

I am having a hard time finding the joy for him. Since I left the pack, I haven’t felt like myself. It’s almost as if someone zapped my energy. I find myself crying for no reason and often sick to my stomach without reason.

I force a smile, “I’m happy for you Xander. I am glad you get to finally find happiness.”

His returning smile faltered, “Willow, won’t you please come back? We really need our alpha and he is a literal trainwreck and has been since you left. Without our Luna, he has lost his desire for everything else.”

I cross my arms over my chest with stubborn indignation, “Then why isn’t he here himself?”
