더 보기Samantha’s POV
“I can’t even begin to tell you how angry I am,” growled my mother—Alpha Zoe Stone of the legendary Diamond Heart Pack—as she glared between the suspension letter in her hand and my thoroughly ashamed face.
“I forgot, Mom. I’m sorry,” I mumbled, shrinking.
Scared out of my mind didn’t even begin to describe it. My infamous prankster of a mother was seconds from combusting, and the fact that she rarely lost her temper—especially with us, her wild sextuplet children—meant I was really in trouble.
“You forgot?” she repeated, her teeth clenched so tight I heard a molar crack. “Why would you leave a trap set in the Chemistry lab in the first place—knowing the risks?!”
I wanted to cry. Period.
“It was meant for the old Chemistry teacher. I never meant to harm the new one. I just… forgot to disconnect the setup when I came back home for my 19th birthday,” I admitted shakily.
Her glare could melt titanium.
Can you blame me for shaking like a leaf? Having the pack's fiercest Alpha—my own mother—about to explode on you was like standing in front of an active volcano with gasoline socks on.
From the corner of my eye, I saw Kai—one of my brothers—and his dragon mate Ty walk into the Alpha Office. The way Kai’s eyes widened when he saw me said it all: Why are you here and not at uni?
“Hello, boys! I’ve been waiting for you,” Mom said with a surprising smile. My hope spiked—until she turned to me again with a glare so sharp it could shave a boulder.
Sigh.
“Samantha! What are you doing here, sis?” Kai asked, his voice thick with suspicion.
I stared at him, silent.
“Well?” he prodded.
I wanted to vanish into the wall. It was so freaking embarrassing. I got suspended. Again. But knowing Kai, he’d love the prank.
Do I tell him? Or do I take this secret to my grave?
“C’mon, Samantha. Tell your brother what you did to your new Chemistry teacher,” Mom said icily.
The look on Kai’s face shifted. He sensed danger.
“I’m sorry, Mom,” I muttered, my voice barely audible.
“Don’t apologize unless you mean it,” she snapped. “I gave all of you freedom to study where you wanted, but I expected basic rules to be followed. Especially when blending in with humans. How do you justify this behavior?”
Oh Moon Goddess, please flip Mom’s ‘cool’ switch back on.
“She said sorry, Mom! She’s clearly shaken. Please stop scolding her,” Kai cut in, pulling me into a protective hug.
Bless his soul.
“Don’t lecture me, Kai,” Mom snapped, though the fire in her tone flickered slightly.
I honestly couldn’t remember the last time she got this mad. Maybe when we were toddlers? Or never.
Someone, please destroy that letter. It only fueled her rage.
Kai asked gently, “What happened, Sam?”
And that was it. Cue the waterworks.
“The Chemistry teacher was a total prick all week,” I sobbed.
“Language, missy,” Mom glowered.
“But we kept quiet and focused on studies. Then he began giving surprise quizzes. No big deal—we aced them. But when the results came back, he’d failed the entire class.”
Kai frowned. “That’s insane.”
“We complained to the Principal, but instead of listening, he punished the whole class—no lunch breaks, banned from all cultural events. It was ridiculous.”
Kai rubbed slow circles on my back. “That’s not just ridiculous. That’s suspicious.”
“Exactly. Two classmates found evidence—turns out the Principal and the Chem teacher were embezzling university funds. The punishments were just a cover to cancel events and hide the missing money.”
“And where do you come in?” Kai asked.
“The police arrested both of them two days ago. But before I came home for the birthday party, I forgot to disable a few… um, prank connections. The new Chemistry teacher walked straight into a hydrogen sulphide setup.”
Kai blinked. “Let me guess… the rotten egg gas?”
I gave him a sheepish nod.
“That’s awesome!” he grinned.
I giggled through my tears.
Mom’s death glare snapped to him this time. RIP Kai.
To clarify: hydrogen sulphide gas smells like a bouquet of poop and farts. Technically, people say “rotten eggs,” but trust me—it’s much worse.
Kai asked, “But how did they know it was you?”
I sighed. “The new teacher threatened to keep the class punished unless the culprit came forward. I confessed… for the class.”
My voice cracked. I felt pathetic.
Kai wiped my tears. “How long’s the suspension?”
“One week,” Mom answered, throwing her hands up. “I told you—no pranks in school! Isn’t home enough for your mischief?!”
“Mom,” Kai defended. “No one got hurt. And you literally burned down your own school, if I recall.”
“That wasn’t a human school. We have to be careful, especially with our kind attending theirs. We cannot afford to risk the pack’s safety. That’s final.”
She stood. “Now freshen up. Elders are arriving for the council meeting. We’re discussing recent attacks—Kai, Ty, I need you both sharp. And Samantha, no more trouble.”
And with that, she walked out.
Now that the storm had passed, I took a breath.
Oh right—introductions.
I’m Samantha Stone—Were-Vamp hybrid, assassin, prankster, and most chaotic of Alpha Zoe’s sextuplets. My siblings are Kai, Ryder, Jax, Aira, and Joy. We’re the Diamond Heart Pack’s pride and menace rolled into one.
And of all of us, I’m the only one who plays in the shadows.
The only one who kills to protect.
“Sam, I’m sorry that happened,” Kai said softly once we were alone.
“You always have my back,” I whispered with a watery smile.
“Always,” he said, kissing my forehead. “Now come on. Let’s get those pretty eyes cleaned up—even if you do look adorable when you cry.”
I gave him the smack he deserved.
And just like that… I felt better.
Because no matter how wild we were—we sextuplets always had each other’s backs.
Now, all I had to do was survive Mom again… in front of the Elders.
Sigh.
25 years later ….Samantha’s POV“Your son is being a d*ck to my daughter,” I hissed at my Beta as we patrolled the lands which were formerly known as the Night Walker Pack Land.“I have no fucking idea who did he go after. When I had met Xeon first, we were already on the verge of making a ton of babies then and there under the tree,” Dre sighed.I smacked the fucker’s arm and growled, “Stop reminding me of that life scarring day. I am already so worried,” I sighed.Suddenly Dre grabbed my arm and pulled me behind a tree just in time before we ducked in the nearby bushes.“Cookie please listen to m- …. ”“Don’t call me Cookie, Mason ! You lost that right when you stopped being my best friend ages ago and bullied me in Ninja School in front of every freaking one all these years, making my life hell. You never let anyone become my friend !!” Cara lashed out. “Not to forget that I caught a random she wolf snogging your face like a hungry wild pig at my birthday bash last night,” she add
Zumi’s POVKissing, licking and nibbling my snout passionately one moment and then gobbling it away like a beast the next, Argo seemed to have gone into a wild rut as he unleashed everything that was pent up in him.Raining me with all his love and kisses, he pushed down my back lightly with his paw, on the soft, night grass. He hovered over me before crouching down his legs and tenderly looking at my submissive figure beneath him, from head to toe.“You are beautiful,” Argo breathed out through the mindlink.I shyly looked away from his laser focused gaze and tried not to whimper in delight at the praise.“Hey ! Look at me, beautiful,” Argo said as he gently pawed my head to the place of his choice- to face him !My gaze lowered shyly on seeing my Alpha’s eyes looking intently at me, full of adoration and love but Argo forced my chin up and commanded, “Shift under control” which I did without second thoughts.I was back to my human form but this time, I was in control instead of Sama
Samantha’s POV“Sorry Alpha Stone, sorry Alpha Arrow,” the pack doctor, Ingrid’s doctor son, Ashton said as he looked up at us with sad eyes and lips curving down. “You guys are not pregnant yet,” he announced and our hearts sank when we saw the red negative stamp on the test reports.Kyler gripped my hand tighter as I sat on the inspection bed with dangling legs while Mom and Kai looked at us worriedly.“It is ok,” Mom whispered to us while comforting us both in her hug. “You guys can still get that factory mill running and produce some fine looking grand kids for me,” she tried to cheer us up.“I am sorry Alpha Zoe but Samantha can’t have kids any time soon,” Ashton said in an upset voice and settled down on his chair to type the report while the rest of us took our seats in front of him too.“What do you mean by that, Ashton ?” Kai asked sharply.“I believe that Samantha’s wolf was injured due to Wolfsbane not long ago, is that right ?” he asked and I tearfully nodded my head, know
Samantha’s POV“My baby,” Kyler cooed as he hugged me from behind and synced our bodies together in a slow dance.“You had fun at the meeting ?” I teased.I knew he was dead bored in the early stages of the meeting and damned for carrying out the punishment for losing the bet.[ ** Author’s Note: You can read ‘CHAPTER 47: CHEATING LOVERS’ of this story again to recall the bet made by Kyler and Samantha ** ]I had been constantly making things more difficult for him by sending him pics which could be easily classified as X-rated, during his Alpha meeting. Hehe. These were the text messages exchanged.Kyler: I am supposed to speak on the stage with approximately 300 elite Alpha wolves in the audience. Do you want my peek a boo to give them all a standing ovation over there ?[Timz inserted pic]Timz: If he does, tell him I said hi and am missing him at home- just in these lace and ribbons. Nothing else. That ‘Magic Mic’ better be ready for me coz my ass can’t wait to sing on it.[Kyler
Samantha’s POVI narrowed my eyes at the crazy hussy screaming at the top of her cacophonous voice and causing a ruckus everywhere.Jax, Joy and Dre were quick on their toes and blocked her raging entry towards the stage just in time. This was the most dangerous trio to deal with individually and with them coming together, it was going to be quite an entertaining drama for everyone- free of cost that too.I genuinely felt sorry for their victim but then she brought this upon herself. What were weddings without drama, in any case !!Only made it memorable for everyone for their entire lifetime. So with this in mind I relaxed and lean back against my husband’s chest as he hugged me from behind and kissed my head.“I am gonna enjoy this,” I mindlinked him, making him chuckle.“Don’t you feel scared that she might be actually carrying my baby ?” he teased.“No, I believe you and I did not feel the spasms of infidelity pain through the mate bond. On top of it, I know that you won’t want to
Kyler’s POV"Oh the daughter that I never had !,” Alpha Zoe exclaimed to Ryder's mate, San as the latter joined Samantha’s sisters on the stage."Mom !!!! You have three daughters !,” Joy hissed."No honey, I have three female typhoons,” Alpha Zoe cooed as she helped up Samantha’s third bridesmaid.“I can’t wait to tell Samantha about it. She is gonna flip,” Aira gave a muted laughed while Alpha Zoe proudly smiled at her daughters and daughter in law. She clearly adored them all to death. As their banter went on, I felt myself relax but when the back doors opened and on cue, the special wedding song started, my breath hitched, mouth dropped, eyes widened and member sprung to active life. That last thing shall surely be death of me. Literally !It would be ultra embarrassing to write on my gravestone- “Died of embarrassment. What a dick ! (No pun intended)”.“Ahem,” Xeon cleared his throat behind me. “As best man, let me remind you that I will not wobble down the stairs to put ice in m
