CHAPTER 5

"Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Manalastas, I am Atty. Manalo, the private lawyer of Ms. Alessandra." Atty. Manalo greeted us.

Ngayong araw namin bubuksan ang last will ni ate. Dahil hindi natuloy ang abogado sa pagbisita kahapon.

Kasama ko sina Mama, Papa, Anthony, at Lance sa pagsalunong sa kaniya. Dito na rin sa bahay nila napag-usapan ang patungkol rito.

And, I am assigning, Liam, my fiancee to have my investments with the other companies namely; Sakuri, Valencia Glow, and Buqiors Inc. Additionally, when it comes to position in the company, I am assigning, Lance, again. For the President in Operations, and as the VPresident for Operations, Trixie." He continued

"When it comes to the chairman of shareholders, since Ms. Alessandra has the highest share, the parents will decide whether to sell it or keep it and give them the power to be the chairmans of the shareholders," he added.

"I shall thereby, entrust this will to Atty. Luiz Joaquin Manalo for the time being. This will, upon signing is valid,"

Lumingon ang atty sa amin at ngumiti. "That's the last will of Ms. Alessandra, you have the decision until the end of the month. Since ang process ng pagtransfer of shares and assets will take several days or weeks."

"But, if you will agree now, and sign this paper," he showed us another paper. Naglalaman ng transfer paper or like a contract. "The transfer will begin today as I process the papers for it."

"Kung sasaluhin ko ang responsibilidad ni ate, then I needed to quit my job," mahina kong sambit.

Tumango naman ako rito.

Tumango naman ako bilang pagsang-ayon.

"Sige, if you have decided already, just call me okay? I'll be here ASAP." Atty. Manalo packed his things and send his goodbye.

We gracefully send him off to the gate at nang masigurado naming nakaalis na ito ay pumasok na kami sa loob.

"Kailan pala ang balik mo sa Metro anak?" My mom asked.

Oo nga pala, I just said yesterday na ngayon ako uuwi.

"Bukas nalang ako babalik ng maaga ma, I just informed Maxine na hindi ako makakarating. Mamayang hapon na sana kaso parang hindi pa kaya ng katawan ko ang mag-travel at hindi pa ako nakabook ng plane." I signed.

Tumango naman si mama at naglakad patungo sa taas.

"Sige, kung ganon. Eh paano, maiiwan na naman namin kayo." Looking at me and Liam. "Baka bukas na kaming muli makauwi, tutungo pa kami ng dad mo sa Cebu." Mom said.

"Ganon po ba, sige ma. Ingat kayo. Eh si Anthony?" Tanong ko naman.

"Nagpaalam kanina sa akin, may pupuntahan daw na emergency meeting sa Ilocos at baka abutin na siya ng bukas ng dating pauwi," mom answered.

"Ikaw pala Lance, kailan ka uuwi, hijo?" Mom looked at the man in my back. Sitting one of the couch in the living room.

Lance looked at mom, then he smiled. "Next week pa tita since ngayon dito ako nakadestino sa lugar nonyo. We have a secret mission kase." He said.

Oh...

"Ganon ba? Sige iiwanan kona muna kayo rito sa baba at makapagbihis na ako," umakyat na siya ng tuluyan at tinungo ang kwarto nila ni papa.

Wala naman akong pasabi na umakyat rin sa second floor at nagtungo sa kwarto. Nilock at sinigurado kong hindi makakapasok ang basta-basta rito.

We have maids here, pero hindi mo sila ganon makikita sa bahay dahil halos lahat ng mga cleaning namin ay advanced. We use vacuum to remove such dirts or ano sa sulok kaya kahit wala ng maids ay okay na. We just need them when it comes to dinner or sa tuwing may malaking kainan dito sa amin.

I rested my body, just like what I have done yesterday, I just did take a bath, watch movies sa n*****x ng maghapon at magdamag. Skipping the lunch time.

Sinigurado ko na ring magstock ako ng pagkain sa kwarto ko, kaya maaga palang kanina ay todo pataas baba ako dahil sa pagbitbit ng mga pagkain sa ref.

I did this for a reason. And that's to avoid Lance. Ayoko ang ganong presensiya niya. Like a liquor who wants to savour and get you drunk.

Pero kung minamalas nga naman ay naubusan ako ng stock sa foods ko kaya kailangan kong bumaba. Naubusan na rin ako ng tubig kaya wala akong choice kundi ang kumuha ulit sa baba.

Sinigurado kong hindi ganon ka revealing ang suot kong lumabas. It's not that I think Liam is a maniac but the thought of seducing me is really bothering. Lalo na at narito pa kami sa bahay namin mismo.

Pinatay ko ang TV at binuhat ang pitchel tsaka lumabas sa kwarto. Bumaba ako sa hagdan at agad nagtungo sa kusina.

It was already dark. Hindi ko namalayan ang pagkawala ng init dahil sa nagkulong nga ako sa aking kwarto ng ilang oras.

Pagkarating ko sa kusina ay nakasindi pa naman rito. Maging sa living room. Ibig sabihin ay hindi pa natutulog si Lance. Pero maaga pa naman kaya ayos lang.

Binaba ko ang pitchel sa lamesa at kumuha ng Jar sa ref at naguan ito ng malamig na tubig. I even drink some of it before putting some sa pitchel and it is really making my head froze for a while.

Nang makapaglagay na ako ng tubig ay humalungkat naman ako sa mga drawers ng pwedeng kainin o kahit iluto na rin.

Pero bago ko pa magawa ang mga ito ay agad na kumaripas sa tibok ang puso ko ng maramdaman ko ang isang anino sa aking likuran.

"Hey," *gik* "what are you looking of?" *gik"

He's here, and he's drunk?

Kinakabahan ngunit hinarap ko siya. Nakasandal siya sa lamesa sa bandang garapan ko na parang walang kontrol sa sarili.

Lasing siya?

"You're drunk?" I asked.

It's obvious that he's drunk yet I still aksed him.

"N-no" *gik*
