Anger

Mason.

Hate and anger poured through my body. I had started to believe April's version of the story but seeing her with another man brought out the worst in me. Getting up from my seat, I stalked over to their table.

It was when I got there that I realised the foolishness of my decision. April didn't look up, but focused on the napkin before her.

"What do you want?" The guy with her asked.

"Hi April," I said. She looked up and my anger vanished instantly. One look into those glassy blue eyes turned my insides into mush. Why did this woman make me so weak? I'd planned to yell, and confront her but the negativity was gone in an instant. "How have you been?"

"I've been alright," she said, coldly. It felt like a stab to the heart. "Thanks for asking."

"Enjoy your evening," I said, before walking back to my table. The anger returned, but this time it was directed to myself. I had made a fool out of myself.
