First Day At work 1

Chapter 5.

Drea's Pov.

Continuation on the last chapter.

I'm not really good at lying.

"Uhm...I'm actually jobless." I replied and Penelope bursted into laughter immediately, and I don't care.

I'm doing all these just for one reason, so I don't give a fuck.

"Really? You are jobless?" She asked inorder to be sure, I looked at her as I didn't give her a reply and continued digging my food.

"So rude." She commented.

I'm really trying to hold in my anger, someone wants to see the other side of me this morning, but I have to control myself.

It is called self control.

"We should get going now." She said as she stood up, Jayden did the same also.

"You will still be under the training department for a month." She told me as I nodded.

"You should start working today also, the earlier the better" She told me as I nodded.

I watched her as she walk with Jayden till they both got out of my sight.

I don't have appetite anymore, I can't believe they left.

Can't they just wait for me to quickly go and change!!!

I don't even have a car, my sister has two, but I don't have any. My parents care for her more than they care for me.

I walked up to my room as I quickly changed, I don't even have much cloth.

I quickly put on the best cloth I have as I rushed downstairs, I don't know what time they consider someone as being late, but the time is almost 8am.

I called the Uber as I waited for him, I kept on looking through the window but I haven't see any car yet.

I went out of the house as I stood at the front of the compound.

It's already 10 minutes and my legs are really aching due to the heel I am putting on.

Finally he came.

I quickly rushed into the car as he apologized immediately.

Wait, why am I even rushing?

I have forgotten I'm not in my own working place.

I couldn't talk to the driver anymore like I told myself I was going to talk to him immediately he arrives.

I reached the organisation since it was really a popular one, this will be the first time I will be going to a place like this.

The building look so huge and they were made of glass.

It looked so magnificent and attractive.

I walked into the company and the tiles were so sparkling, I went to where the receptionist was.

"Please I'm looking for Penelope." I told her.

"You mean Miss Lawrence?" She asked in order to confirm.

"I don't know her last name." I replied as she rolled her eyes.

Now I get!!!

These people are rude and arrogant just like their boss. Birds of a feather.

"I will call her now." She said.

She used the telephone that was at her front and placed a call immediately.

"Your name please?" She asked immediately she placed the telephone next to her ear.

"Drea Connor." I replied her with that name to see her reaction. 

"A lady wants to see you, her name is Drea Con..nor." She said to whoever she was talking to. I'm very sure it was Penelope.

She placed the telephone to where it was immediately she was done calling.

"By any means are you related to the boss?" She asked.

I guessed she noticed when I used Connor as my last name.

I smirked at her question.

"Yes, I am the CEO wife." I replied her as I emphasized on the CEO, and I could see how surprised she was when I told her.

I guess she was not expecting it.

"I'm really sorry." She apologized.

I guessed she must have realized her mistake already, but that is not my problem.

It was Jayden who employed rude employers into the company.

The receptionist directed me to Penelope's office as I went to where it was.

I took the lift anyways.

I entered her office after her secretary announced my arrival and she told me to enter.

I went inside and the glass were transparent, u could see the city from inside the company, but when I was outside, I couldn't see what was going on inside.

I continued to stare at it forgetting I was here to make some enquiries.

Suddenly it became opaque, I looked at Penelope that I didn't even notice at first in the office.

I saw her with a remote in her hands, I don't know what she did here and I don't want to know.

"You were supposed to look at me and not to look out of the glass." She complained.

"Oops my bad!!! You were too small so I didn't see you when I entered. What caught my attention was the beautiful city, so attractive unlike you." I replied her, actually I was telling the truth.

"Talkative." She qualified as she gestured me to seat.

I walked towards the chair at the front of her as I sat down.

She asked me some few questions in which I answered immediately.

Throughout the time I was with her she was just looking at me in a bad way. Last time I checked I didn't collect her husband!!!

I didn't do anything bad to her, or did I? I wondered what was making her to give me that look of hers.

She pressed some number in the telephone as she said something about someone coming here.

I waited for while without doing anything in her office.

A girl entered attracting my attention, she looked so beautiful and natural.

"Good day boss." She greeted Penelope.

"Take her to the training department." Penelope ordered as I stood up and I noticed she bowed her head.

And she allowed me to take the lead, what is up with the formalities? Anyways, she walked at my back.

"How am I supposed to know the way to the department, you should be the one at my front." I told her as she quickly rushed to my front in fear.

We got the training department and I realized she is the boss, they are into the product of some fabrics for designers wear.

I heard the some great designers company in the world buy their fabrics from here.

Someone barged into the office and it was pretty loud. What the hell is Jayden doing here? I think someone is about to burst in anger.

His eyes were around the room as he saw me and walked towards me, he held my wrist and dragged me out of the office.

What have I done this time around?
