Chapter 67

BASTIAN POV

"Damian's still back there," I said, my voice shaking. "Bill’s got him. We need to move now."

Rafe's face hardened with resolve. "We'll get him back, Bastian. Gather your strength. You're no use to him if you're dead."

The pack immediately sprang into action, preparing for the counterattack. I watched as they armed themselves, a flurry of movement and determination. My shoulder throbbed, but I forced myself to focus. Damian needed me, and I couldn't afford to be weak.

"We head out in five," Rafe ordered. He turned to me, his expression serious. "Can you fight?"

I nodded, though the pain was almost unbearable. "I'll manage. We need to get to Damian before it’s too late."

We set off through the forest, moving swiftly and silently. The moonlight filtered through the trees, casting eerie shadows on the ground. Every rustle of leaves and snap of twigs made my heart race. We had to be careful; Bill and his men were undoubtedly waiting for us.
