POV Katerine

“Katerine. An important man and his associates will be coming to eat soon. I need everything to be perfect; we're just one day away from Christmas Eve,” I heard the voice of Dalila, my boss.

Dalila was an elderly woman who ran a restaurant right on the edge of the pack from which I was expelled as a traitor a couple of years ago.

In fact, I was born in the Blue Lake pack, ruled by one of the most dangerous and powerful kings of all time.

However, our pack was the only one where everyone knew their wolves by the age of five. But I was already eighteen and still didn't know mine, which made me a mere omega, as useless as a human. That's why everyone in Blue Lake mistreated me and blamed me for everything that happened.

Since my birth, the pack had increased its attacks, and one night, while I was out picking flowers, the alpha mansion was attacked by humans and Queen Abby was killed.

It wasn't long before one of the alphas sent me to the dungeon, blaming me, like the rest of the pack, for treason. Although I tried to explain my innocence, everyone had decided to expel me.

That same night, the alpha's son, Dilan, took me out of the dungeon and dragged me through the pack while the rest threw things at me and insulted me for what had happened.

I just cried, not knowing what else to say. After all, I was just a useless omega living among ferocious wolves.

Luckily, a woman named Ammary rescued me from the forest and took me to her mother, Dalila, who owned a restaurant where I began working as a waitress.

However, Ammary fell in love with a werewolf and gave birth to two cubs who never got to know her, when suddenly, the kingdom ordered the killing of humans and killed Dalila's daughter, leaving her alone with her two grandchildren.

“Good heavens, Katerine, are you listening to me?!” Dalila asked, tapping me on the head.

“Yes, no, what were you saying?” I asked, shaking my head.

Dalila looked at me with a raised eyebrow and handed me a list of tasks. “Just do what's on here. You can order the other waitresses to help you. I trust you,” Dalila said with a smile.

I nodded and went to the kitchen, where the rest of the waitresses were, and began giving them instructions.

“What? Businessmen? Oh my God, this is exciting! They must be some attractive gods,” said one of the waitresses as she ran to one of the mirrors in the hallway. “We can't go out in this uniform! Especially on Christmas Eve!” said another.

She looked at her waitress uniform and made a loud gesture with her lips.

The truth is, I never cared much about our uniform; after all, my body wasn't very pretty. I had thick legs and large breasts. Plus, my butt was big and round.

However, I had a narrow waist and a sharp face, with freckles on my cheeks that matched my honey-colored eyes.

On the other hand, I had long, blonde hair, although I always wore it up.

Unlike me, Daniela had a slender body, was very tall, and was always smiling, full of energy.

“We have to change these horrible clothes urgently. Maybe one of those men will be interested in us, it would be our Christmas present!” announced the other waitress, Caroline.

“Oh, that would be great. I'll take care of finding something better for us to wear,” added Daniela with a big smile.

I saw her leave the kitchen without giving me a chance to reply, but just as I was about to follow her, I heard shouting from the second door of the kitchen.

“Kate! Kate!”

The voices of two children echoed as they ran toward me. I couldn't help but turn around and see the twins, Liam and Liana, Dalila's grandchildren.

“But what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be studying? Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, you should be helping Dalila with the decorations in the cabin,” I asked, bending down to greet them.

In fact, ever since their mother was killed by members of my former pack, I felt responsible for them and decided to raise them as if they were my little siblings.

“We came to visit you. We were very bored,” Liana said, pouting.

Both cubs had met their wolves at a very young age, just like all the members of the Blue Lake pack.

With a slight smile, I looked at them and took them to one of the tables to feed them. But in the middle of the meal, Liana looked at me with a grimace on her lips.

“Kate, I heard some werewolves were coming to eat,” she said, sounding a little nervous.

I looked at her and opened my eyes in surprise: “Werewolves? No, businessmen are coming...” I said.

Hearing this, both the cubs and Daniela looked at each other mockingly.

“Good heavens, Katerine, are you really that clueless?! We live on the edge of the werewolf pack; they're the only businessmen around,” said Daniela.

Damn, how could I have forgotten? We were just a silly little town in the middle of dozens of wolf packs.

“You mean the businessmen and partners are the alphas of those packs?” I asked, still intrigued.

Damn, now that I thought about it, it all made sense. As I thought about it, I felt a wave of nerves wash over me. What if the king came? What if that man decided to kill me? I couldn't let that happen. Who would take care of the cubs and Dalila?

With that in mind, I got up from the table and forced a calm expression. “I think you should go home. It's getting dark, and today is Christmas Eve. Look! We have to finish hanging the last string of lights outside.”

Both puppies looked at me and pouted, about to reply. But I didn't give them a chance to respond. I just handed them some sandwiches and sent them on their way.

“Please go straight home and don't get distracted. I don't want you to come near me today. I promise I'll be back soon to help you put up the tree and drink hot chocolate, okay?” I said as I took their little hands.

They both nodded and, after giving me a big hug, left the restaurant. After that, a deep sigh escaped my lips.

No matter how nervous I was, I needed to do my job and serve these werewolves as best I could.

Without further ado, I began to organize the entire restaurant. Soft Christmas carols filled the air. I made sure the pine and cinnamon scented candles were lit on every table, and that the little holly wreaths we had placed in the windows were lined up.

The entire main room, covered in green garlands with red berries and twinkling gold lights, felt warm and cozy, despite the tension. It was a perfect setting for a Christmas card, or at least it was before an alpha arrived to ruin it.

On the other hand, all the townspeople spruced up the small streets and cottages, hoping that big businessmen would take an interest in us. You could smell the cold, sweet winter air, mixed with the scent of lit fireplaces and punch.

The next morning, I had finished preparing everything in the restaurant. The huge Christmas log, which Dalila had lit at dawn, crackled softly in the stone fireplace, giving off a comforting warmth

I stood completely still, feeling the powerful presence of that man. I couldn't respond; he could kill me right there!“Please... no...” I tried to say when I saw him bring his repulsive lips close to mine. But just as I closed my eyes, expecting the worst, another man's voice suddenly rang out.“Alpha, they're looking for you in...” the man said. But before the man could finish, a roar came from Alpha Michael's lips. “What the hell do you want?”Immediately, Alpha Michael's grip loosened from my body, and with a growl, the man looked at me and walked away, leaving the restaurant. On the other hand, I quickly ran to the kitchen and heard someone come in. For a moment, I thought it was the same idiot, but then I heard Daniela. “Oh my God, I've been looking everywhere for you! It's 10:00 p.m., shouldn't you be getting ready for the party? Don't you want one of those alphas to notice you?” she hinted.“What? No...” I said, shaking my head.“No? Yes. In fact, I'd like it to be that huge m

When I saw him, my heart began to pound in my chest. Damn it, I wanted to avoid this man as much as possible, but it was clearly time to face him. With trembling legs, I approached the table where Dilan was sitting next to Alpha Michael, who couldn't stop laughing out loud.I tried to calm my nerves as much as I could, but remembering everything that had happened in the bathroom with Dilan made my stomach churn.“Wow, these waiters are useless... Don't they know it's Christmas Eve and they should be quick?” Michael's mocking voice said.My hands were shaking as I sighed heavily and placed the plates on the table. However, at that moment, I almost dropped a plate, but in seconds Dilan caught the plate in midair and placed it on the table.I opened my eyes in amazement, but I understood that he simply didn't want me to continue embarrassing the other alphas. On the other hand, when I finished serving their plates, one of the alphas nodded with a slight smile. “Thank you very much,” the

How the hell was I supposed to go out like this? I knew perfectly well that as soon as Dilan saw me, he wouldn't stop teasing me with Michael and the rest.“My God, you look beautiful! You look like a Christmas present!” said a familiar voice from the doorway.I turned around immediately and saw Delilah, covering her mouth in amazement. “You definitely have to go out like that. Everyone will be delighted,” she added in her soft, sweet voice.I could see the excitement on her face as she looked at me with pride.Damn, how could I refuse this woman? Thanks to her, I was alive and had these beautiful puppies that I loved as if they were my own children.“Dalila is right, this is your moment,” said Caroline.Unable to respond, they both left, leaving me alone. At that moment, I let out a snort, fixed my hair a little, and decided to look at myself in the small mirror again. Why should I care what Michael and Dilan said about me? I didn't belong to any pack anymore.“It's time, Kate. You c

However, just as I let out a sigh of relief, two black luxury cars began to arrive, their headlights shining against the light layer of freshly fallen snow covering the driveway.Quickly, the waitresses and I approached the window and saw those huge men begin to get out of the cars.It was incredible how their powerful auras spread throughout the place.“Oh my God, look at them! They're so attractive! They look like presents under a Christmas tree, only much bigger,” whispered Daniela, her eyes wide.In fact, there was one feature that distinguished the werewolves of Blue Lake from other wolves. They were huge, with white skin and light hair. However, their most distinctive feature was their muscular bodies covered in tattoos. Some even had a dangerous aura that could make any omega crawl in reverence.“Girls!” Dalila's shout came from behind.Quickly, the girls and I jumped back from the window and looked at Dalila, who was walking toward us with a serious expression.“Dalila, everyt
