My foot landed on Kieran’s face. She stumbled—falling backwards instantly.

Kieran dropped to the ground and the entire crowd gasped. I could still see the shock on their faces. Even I didn’t understand my sudden outburst. I just felt the weight of my actions. I just felt the need to show them, I was fit to be Luna.

I stared at Kieran, who stayed on the ground for a few minutes, then walked over to her.

“Are you okay?” I asked, concerned. But she didn’t respond. It was like she was lost in the dark… somewhere sad and depressing. I couldn’t help but feel bad.

“Is she okay?” I asked my wolf.

She hummed positively, and I heaved a sigh of relief. For a second there, I thought I had broken my mate’s best friend. Raze wouldn’t be happy with me if he found out.

“Sorry… I didn’t mean to do that. I just wanted to prove a point,” I added softly. I really wasn’t here to hurt anyone—just to show them I was worthy of being Luna.
