LOGINAntonio's POV
“I don't want a toy that is already broken,” I said, pulling her hands down as if her touch didn't burn in the most delicious way. “It's no fun,”
“I see.” She said quietly, I moved past her successfully hiding the bulge in my pants as I dialed Madame Loretta on the intercom.
“Come take her away.”
Before I do something I regret
The five minutes I waited for Madam Loretta felt longer than my three decades of life.
She arrived not a second too soon and took that woman away, the second she was out the door I could finally breathe and my bulge was finally relaxing.
Normally I'm not the type to be slaved by my base desires. That was for weaker men who decided with the head downstairs not THE Antonio Moretti.
It all started from the second that bastard Jeremy showed me her picture.
She was wearing this big, goofy smile that ran from one ear to the next wearing a one piece that evoked an immediate reaction from me. I already had more than enough women working for me and killing Jeremy was supposed to send a message.
But then I thought why not eat my cake and have it too?
Jeremy will eventually crawl back counting change and betting his life on the line again.
I accepted his offer, she walked into the hotel room and I sucked in a breath.
She looked way better than her pictures, and those were already devastating enough.
Jeremy slithered out of the room before she began to strip, keeping my hands to myself as she did so made me realize that this was probably how the people who found themselves at the other end of my gun felt.
Pure torture.
I wanted to run my fingers through her hair, crush her underneath myself and wear her out until she couldn't walk for days. The feeling was so intense I wondered if I had been drugged by an aphrodisiac, because I had never reacted to a woman this strongly before to the point that it almost threatened my sanity.
Then she came over and kissed me, confusing me for the bastard.
And I didn't care, I got into that kiss like it was nobody's business coating the inside of her mouth with my saliva, and I didn't want to stop there. I wanted to leave traces of myself all over her so that anyone that met her would know she was mine.
Fortunately my men stationed outside knocked her out before I snapped.
There was a bed in my study, I was supposed to have her tonight and get her out of my system. But the words she says and her touch on my neck kept repeating itself in my head.
I planted my hands on the table, taking deeper breaths than eventually shallow ones until I was able to straighten myself before one of my soldiers stepped in.
"Boss, it's about the new shipment..." I grabbed my quotes from my chair before he could finish, throwing it over my shoulders.
"Let's move, you can fill me in on the way."
Indeed, I am Antonio Moretti. Nothing and no one can sway me.
•••••••••••••
"She refuses to eat?" I asked Madam Loretta, she had taken care of me ever since I was a boy running after my father's shadow, the closest thing to the mother I never had.
She nodded and I dropped my fork, the steak in my mouth losing taste instantly as I stared down at what still remained on my plate.
"She's been here for 3 days. Are you saying that she hasn't eaten a single morsel of food since then?"
Madam Loretta confirmed it with a nod, I raked my fingers through my hair watching everything complicated in front of me.
The plan I had drafted in my head was perfect: keep her here for a week, prepare her for the job ahead and then make sure I avoid her like the plague until she was gone out of sight and completely out of mind forever.
But now she was drawing attention to herself.
"Should I ask one of your soldiers to deal with her?" Madame Loretta suggested and the idea felt worse than the stake I was still chewing.
"No," I said a little more firmly than I intended to then cleared my throat steadying my voice, "I'll handle this personally,"
I should have known she would react extremely like this, after her entire world collapsed but usually I wasn't the one that had to deal with it. Why was I intentionally putting myself in a position where I had to be the one to handle it?
Even Madame Loretta made a confused face when I said I would handle it myself but of course she did not question me.
A few minutes later a soldier opened up the door of the room where she was kept underneath my mansion.
As soon as the door opened I heard the sound of glass shattering and one of the maids screamed. At the center of the chaos was that woman.
I could already tell what had happened from start to finish from what I was seeing. They had probably tried to force feed her and she had resisted, leading to the class of water she had shattered and one of the shards flying into it made like scraping past.
"Take her to doc," I said to the other maid without looking at either of them, my attention was completely fixed on the woman in front of me.
She had slimmed it down considerably in just 3 days, so much so that her collarbone was poking out and her cheeks had begun to sink in. I despised that it felt like a pinch in my heart to see her like that, she was just one of many my body needed to stop reacting to her like I was a teenager having his first crush.
When her eyes locked with mine she pulled out a smile that didn't reach her.
"You're here.... finally.”
Antonio’s POVI bit into a piece of dark chocolate, my eyes planted on the monitors in my study. Other than the crunching of the sweet treat, there was nothing else but silence. Then, my eyes widened by a fraction when I saw my right-hand man. Carlos, who should have been resting, was limping out of Amy’s room with a look on his face that made my senses immediately tingle with suspicion. There was something going on. I could smell it. Insubordination hung high in the air, and if I wanted to, I could have summoned both of them and burned the truth out of them. But I didn't. Instead, I waited. I watched. Anytime it felt like my curiosity was simmering over, I remembered her eyes—the betrayal that moved between them when I yelled at her last night, saying every terrible thing I could think of rather than the one thing nested deep inside me.Finally, I was tired of being left in the dark. I called Loretta to my study. In only a few minutes, she stood before my desk. To her credit, she was
Amy's POV"Ugh..." I groaned as the morning light escaped through the gap of the curtains and spilled over my face. It would have been nice to go out and bask in it properly, then I was reminded that I was under confinement. I sighed in defeat.I was about to roll around and go back to sleep when a thought snapped into life. I jumped off the bed immediately, flipping the mattress and going at every drawer, turning over furniture until the room looked like a hurricane had gone through it. I kept doing this until it felt like my palms were burning. My heart hammered against my ribs in a rhythm that was broken and uneven. The search had taken an hour, and there was nothing to show for it other than the acceptance of what had happened: my burner phone was gone.I sat up uneasily on the edge of the bed, my breath shallow and cracked. I had taken it with me into Enzo's domain, and in my haste to escape with Carlos, I had forgotten it. There was no doubt that eventually, it would fall into E
Enzo’s POVAs I inhaled a deep breath, the charred remains of my precious warehouse seemed to enter my nostrils. I looked around at the millions wasted, all in the wake of that bastard's rage. To think that I had been ticking him off intentionally all these years, and this was the thing that made him go over the edge.I continued to walk over the ruins, crushing further what was already irretrievably destroyed, until I found myself standing at the very center of the wreckage of a shipment I had been waiting for for months. I felt the urge to laugh. I opened my mouth, yet no sound came out, so I just closed it back, dusting some of the debris off my shoulder. The tailored suit on my body was as good as ruined; nothing would ever get out the smell of smoke. Yet, I still stood in the middle of it all, thinking that all it took was one tiny button to bring millions level with the ground."Antonio... after hesitating for so long, she was finally the thing that made you move, huh?""Boss,"
Amy's POVI heard a mechanical crunch and, afterwards, saw the bits and pieces of Antonio's phone fall onto the floor in a pathetic pile. He ended the call between him and his brother in the most extreme way. He didn't walk away after that; he just stood there, perfectly still, like a statue—a perfectly chiseled, dark statue."Antonio, please say something..." The silence was getting to me again. I didn't know what to expect from him when nothing was being said for far too long. Then, he turned around to face me, and there was a flicker of something incredibly wrong deep beneath his eyes—something I couldn't quite read. He came back toward me again and raised his hand, not to hit me, but to hover over my cheek, forming the ghost of a touch. His fingers carefully grazed over my jawline as if I were a bomb that could detonate at any time."If I knew this would happen," he said, his voice barely above a whisper, "I would have done everything possible to make sure that you had never stepp
Amy's POV The adrenaline that had been pumping through my body the one that carried me through the ventilation shaft and down to the basement, the one that held me even as I was about to have my skull smashed in finally began to ebb away. It left behind a hollow void that ached with every motion.Slumber was dragging me off. Before I knew it, I could only blink twice and then the world was complete darkness. Everything stayed that way, with Antonio’s overpowering presence being the last thing I felt. I slept through the rest of the drive, and I couldn't have been more grateful to escape from that tense awkwardness, even if it was just for a while. But it did not last forever. Soon, I was brought back to consciousness by the car abruptly stopping. My head was in a position where I could see, from the corner of my eye, the mansion gates closing. I didn't move; I just remained like that until I felt myself being lifted. I let my body go limp, still exhausted, collapsing into the strong
Amy's POVWithout looking away from the man, he signaled his men, and they came to grab Carlos, who was already slipping into unconsciousness. His other men took care of the giant who had been about to knock me out. As they did so, Antonio pulled back, and his gaze moved anywhere else other than where I was.In that moment, I was reminded of my place. Of course, he hadn't come here for me—just for Carlos. At best, I was just an added bonus. He came forward, grabbing my arms while still avoiding looking directly at me. He pulled me up, saying nothing, and just dragged me along. As we walked past other soldiers belonging to Enzo, they didn't make an attempt to go after us; they just stood to the side, but with a heat that could burn through ice.I was more or less yanked into the back seat. What was supposed to bring relief brought a different type of tension, loading into my chest as the SUV began its suffocating ride back. Antonio didn't say anything, and somehow his presence still fi
