Zayn
I met up with Bryce, after the whole ordeal at the waterfall, and I knew that I was in for a wild ride. I have had feelings for Alice since the day my mate had left me, and she had helped me get over the grief. She was loyal to her core, and I knew that this could be my second chance at a mate.
Maybe the moon goddess wasn’t as cruel as I had made her out to be after all. Bryce had told me that there were a couple of rogues lurking around the pack borders, and that we needed to take action rather fast if we didn’t want them to try and raid our pack like they had with the neighbouring packs.
I organized the last of my paperwork, filing away most of our business deals into the archives, and we eventually decided to head out to meet with the rogues, and their leader Aden.
We ran at full speed, and the warriors were following close behind, until we reached the pack borders, where, sure enough, the rogues had been waiting patiently.
“State your business here, or leave this pack, otherwise we will be forced to wipe out your kind for good.” I stated, my Alpha tone ringing through the air, and some of the rogues had bowed their heads, the others were resisting the Alpha command. Looks like he had taught them well.
“We are here in search of food, and maybe to take over your pack grounds for ourselves who knows?” He stated, his arrogance blinding him to the fact that they were clearly outnumbered, and outranked.
“I believe that will not be happening today, and I sincerely hope you reconsider leaving before we tear you to shreds.” Bryce stated, and I could see amusement dancing in Aden’ eyes.
“And what makes you think that we will give in, when we have already raided most of the neighbouring packs?” He inquired sarcastically. My blood was boiling at this point, and I was ready to shed blood.
That is when they pounced. Without warning, Aden leapt forward, changing into his wolf form, which in turn caused the rest of us to also shift into our respective wolf forms. We charged at them, claws, and teeth itching to get a taste of our enemies' suffering.
We fought for what seemed like an eternity, going back and forth, until I eventually overpowered Aden, and all of the other wolves stopped fighting as I barred my teeth around his corraded artery in his neck.
I was one bite away from killing their leader, and the tension was thick between all of us.
“Leave! And never come back!” I growled, my voice echoing throughout the woods, causing all of the wolves to submit, and I knew we had won. I was going to have to take Markus in under investigation as I had a feeling that the problem ran much deeper than just him.
The warriors chased away the rest of his posse as we dragged him towards the pack dungeon. We were going to have fun getting him to talk. After locking him up, I headed back to my office, preparing for the upcoming wedding of my son and Alice’s sister Kaitlyn.
I felt bad for Alice, I knew how it felt losing a mate that you thought was supposed to stay by your side for the rest of your lives. The grief she must have felt, had to have been hard on her. If I was being honest, I am kind of glad that they were not mated anymore, because that would mean that I finally had a chance with the woman I had been in love with since forever.
No one, including Alice, knows this fact, and I wanted to keep it that way until we were officially mated at the mating ceremony I had planned, as it was clear that she was just as into me as I was into her.
I resumed my work, the preparations for the wedding were in order, and it was happening tomorrow. I hope that Alice would be okay, she did not deserve that heartache, but I cannot just banish my son for being a pushover, and a terrible mate.
I knew that eventually I would have to face the consequences of his actions and do something about it, but I would only do something if Alice had asked me to, otherwise I could do nothing, as he was my son, and heir to the Alpha title.
That, however, could change very soon, if Alice were to produce a new heir, but that was also up to her, as I would not force her to do anything that she did not want to do. With a heavy sigh, I prepared for tomorrow’s arrangements, and prayed to the moon goddess that everything worked out fine in the end.
Kaitlyn
My plan was working very well. I had Alice’s mate, and I was next in line to be the Luna of the pack, meaning I was one step closer to my goal of eradicating her presence from this pack. She deserved it, our parents were always on her side, and she always got what she wanted, receiving praise from those around her as if she was some kind of saint.
Well, it was about time she felt how I had felt for the last seven years of our lives, and I would do anything to make her regret ever being born. I just needed to get through this wedding, and I needed to get Tristan to give us both an heir that I could carry to seal the deal.
I am coming for you Alice, and I hope you are ready for the hell I am going to unleash onto your life, whether you deserve it or not is irrelevant.
“Hey baby what are you up to?” Tristan inquired, and I smiled at him.
“Oh, nothing much. Just planning for the wedding, I hope that you went all out? We are destined to be together anyway, so why not make our special night as special as it can get?” I stated, and he nodded with excitement.
“I agree. Only the best, for the best future Luna of our pack.” He stated, and I smiled softly at him.
He grabbed me by the back of the head softly, and a growl escaped his lips, and I suppose he wanted to try again for the baby, and who was I to object?
ZaynHours ticked by as we played the games and slowly got more intoxicated. Not much has changed in the last couple of years that have passed...I wish I could say that I had started to cope with the death of my mate, but I still missed her every day, and nothing was going to change that. With that being said, I found myself feeling a lot better than I had a couple of years ago, and Delilah has grown quite a bit.“Dadda! Look! Look!” She came running towards us with something enclosed in her hands, and I was nervous to discover what she was hiding.Children did not always come across the best of things, and once something catches their attention, they rarely let it go. She held out her little hands, and slowly opened them to reveal a white lunar moth. It sat still in her hands, and I was amazed by the intricate designs on its wings. It was truly a sight to behold, and she had grown up to look just like her mother did when we were all a little younger.“It looks very pretty sweetheart
Haley Everything does not always go according to plan, it seems, because here I was, taking care of the kids. Zayn had come in after spending the day with his little ray of sunshine, and he left her with me. All the guys went out to go and get a couple of stuff from the stores, whilst the rest of us stayed to babysit. It honestly sounded fair, and I could not exactly complain about the current circumstances, although I would have liked to spend just one evening relaxing. The kids have been keeping us up all night every night, and little Delilah keeps screaming for her bottle every ten minutes, so, I made sure that all of them tired themselves out, and were rushed to bed.Thankfully, they did not resist as I ushered them upstairs to their room. We walked in, and they immediately headed towards their beds, which I was even more thankful for. After tucking them in, I made my way to Delilah’s room, and placed her in the crib.“Good night little one.” I smiled as I whispered good night, a
HaleyPulling out weeds and trimming vines was tasking to say the least. I was dirty and sweaty, and I now knew why she spent so much time in here...With that being said, I finally finished after a couple of hours, and the garden looked almost barren in contrast to its original overgrown state. I found that poetic. I got up with a soft grunt, and made my way to the backdoor of the pack house. I looked back towards the garden to admire my work, and I knew that Alice would have been proud.I took off all the dirty gardening gear that I had on, and put it aside for now, whilst I made my way to the shower. I just could not stand feeling that dirty. I know, ironic, isn’t it? A werewolf that does not like to be dirty. What a joke.I got into the shower, and made sure to wash any and all pieces of dirt that had accumulated on my body throughout the day. After a few minutes of scrubbing, I finally turned off the water, and as soon as I stepped out of the shower, I instantly felt like a new p
ZaynI woke up to the sound of birds chirping, and I was met with a face full of sunlight blinding me through my closed eyelids. I think I drank too much last night, because all I can remember was how I started, and as things stood now, I did not even know where I was currently lying down, but I had to get up. So, I guess we were about to find out.I turned around, so the sunlight did not hit my face, and I slowly opened my eyes. I rubbed the sleep out of them, trying to recall last night’s events, because I had a massive headache pounding away at my skull, which probably meant that I was hungover. I forced myself to get up, and realized that I had passed out on the couch.Well... I suppose there are worse places that I could have woken up in, like the bathroom, or somewhere on the floor. I stretched, and the headache worsened, much to my dismay. I suppose I should go get coffee and start my morning. The walk to the kitchen was rather short, and I soon found myself facing the coffee m
ZaynI am not going to lie, this was a massive surprise, and I did not expect them to remember, or to even care about my birthday. It looks like they proved me wrong, because I did not even remember my own birthday, so to say I was surprised would be an understatement. With that being said, the place was beautifully decorated, and the appetizers were delicious. You can tell that they put a lot of work into all of this, and I was really grateful for everything that they had done for me so far. They were really great friends, and I appreciated every little thing that they did for me.We chatted, and enjoyed each other’s company for the rest of the night, and eventually the time came for us to open the presents. I smiled as Haley and Bryce handed me theirs, and I was very curious to see what they had gotten me. As I unwrapped the package, I could see that they had gotten me an album filled with photos of what I assumed were sentimental memories, as well as a new phone, and a couple of sw
HaleyKaitlyn and I were busy setting up the decorations while Cole was busy arranging the snacks, and Bryce was keeping Zayn busy. It was all starting to come together, and I was actually impressed by how everything had turned out so far.“I think it looks good, what about you?” Kaitlyn finished putting up some of the lights, as she hopped off of the ladder, and walked closer to where I was standing. She turned to face the lights, and inspect them as she slowly nodded to show her approval.“Yeah! I think it looks great. Let’s go see what Cole is up to, and how far he has come with the food preparations.” I nodded in response to her suggestion, and we made our way to the kitchen where we found Cole helping out with the plating of the food.He looked like he enjoyed it, and we decided to leave him to it whilst we made our way back to the living room. I suppose we have to check in with Bryce as well, seeing as we need to know how much time we have left. We were almost done anyway.“Hey
