The Italian glanced at him sideways and shook his head.

"It's not the right time. If I go into the bathroom with you, we might not come out for the rest of the day..."

"Fine, your loss..." she said, disappearing behind the bathroom door.

She reappeared in the living room holding Giulian’s hand, who proudly hugged and kissed her cheeks while defiantly staring at Thomas Won.

The man looked at the Italian with envy. He merely gave a grim smile and occasionally glanced at the Japanese man, who remained seated in the room, now drinking another beer. He seemed calm and indifferent to the Italian's provocations.

  • Seducing the Enemy.   Coquettish smile

Another beautiful morning begins. The first thing she did was open the first page of that notebook where she was supposed to write the list. She had been thinking about it the night before, but in the end, she didn’t manage to write anything because her mind was occupied solely by the image of the gray-eyed girl who was comfortably asleep on the sofa. She opened the small window of the bedroom and leaned her head out to enjoy the beautiful view a little more. The summer breeze tousled her chestnut hair, which hadn’t been cut in more than three months and now moved rebelliously across her face. From the window, she observed her street and recognized Kentzuque, who was wearing his gym uniform and walking casually beside his friends. She immediately knew that teenager would skip class again and smiled."One of these days, you're going to get into serious trouble for skipping school… When you're an adult, you’ll wish you could go back to your school days and then you’ll regret wasting tim

Two hours later…She laughed in a joyful and sensual manner, holding a margarita in her right hand. He spoke to her slowly; their glances said everything. The flirtatious exchange between drinks had heightened the mood."And why not?" asked the woman with black hair and brown eyes."Aren’t good girls supposed to be home before midnight?""That’s the problem—I’m not a good girl," she replied, looking at him flirtatiously and then leaning in to whisper in his ear. "So I'm in no rush to go home…"They held hands and walked toward the exit. He scanned the room for his best friend, who was still dancing with another woman. He gave him a brief wave goodbye and left with the woman.Normally, he would have shown off his beautiful Mercedes, taken her to the most luxurious hotel in the city to impress her with his gold card, ordered the finest bottle of wine or champagne depending on her taste, and after satisfying his lust and thirst for intimacy, he would’ve left her there with a, “Don’t worr

"Now what’s going on?! I’m starving, I haven’t eaten a bite since we got here!" she protested."Namie has something important to tell you!" He dragged her almost by force to where the blonde was standing."What’s going on?" she asked in surprise upon seeing them approach."What’s so important that you have to say?" Sotomayor glared at her angrily."Me?" The blonde looked at the brown-haired man who was gesturing from behind Sotomayor. "Ah! Yes! Giulian called you to invite you to dinner!""And why did he call you and not me?" she asked, puzzled. The blonde laughed and gave a silly excuse…Meanwhile, Yukio walked over to the dessert table and grabbed one in each hand. Ankit kept distracting the Americans who refused to leave the area."Mr. Tanarro," Thomas addressed him with a hint of arrogance. "What’s your opinion on the high cost of the projects?""Huh?" Yukio, caught off guard with a pastry in each hand, looked at him coldly, as if he despised him. "The projects are expensive, but

He was sitting on the couch. In front of him, seated in an old armchair, was a woman wearing a gray sweater and matching pants. She took notes while listening to every word he said. She barely moved except to adjust her silver-rimmed glasses. Her face looked no older than forty-five.The walls were painted a very pale blue, almost white. A few diplomas were displayed on one wall, and on another hung a Monet imitation, adding a splash of color to a room that seemed to blend into the ceiling. A peaceful, almost relaxing place. Within those four walls, the only sound was his deep, strong, yet melancholic voice:"And then, in the middle of the famous convention…"_______________0_____________________International Convention of Tanarro Industries – That WeekendThe foreign attendees applauded enthusiastically for each of the panel members giving their lectures on various topics of interest. Others observed blueprints and specialized models, while the more curious ones wandered from one pl

Seoul, Korea. Six years ago…"After her!" shouted a tall girl with reddish hair tied back in a ponytail. The girl and three others with the same hairstyle ran after a teenager wearing oversized, outdated glasses and her hair tied in two pigtails behind her ears. They chased her down to the gymnasium, where they delighted in pushing and messing up her hair."Don’t you ever get near Lee again! He’s mine and no one else’s!""Let that be clear!" the others shouted. "Japanese girl! She thinks every boy should fall for her just because she’s a foreigner!""What are you doing?" A girl’s voice made the group step away from the trembling girl as they gestured for silence."Jina!" said the red-haired girl, smiling. "Nothing, we were just hanging out.""Hyori, I’ve told you before, I’m not your 'Jina,'" she replied coldly, ignoring her and offering her hand to the crying girl on the floor, who was holding her broken glasses. "Beating up girls again? Aren’t you ashamed?""She was asking for it...

Present Time..."You were right to leave. If I had behaved better and followed all of Ankit’s romantic advice, none of this would have happened. I’d be blissfully happy, a billionaire, married to Tori and living in a mansion." He looked at the watch the Korean girl had given him."Our first month"... That really didn’t last more than three months."I’m not supposed to care, and yet I still think about you... Ankit is right, I’m going crazy. Maybe I should go see that shrink. I need someone to clear up this mess in my head."He angrily threw the watch far from his bed.He stood up, his stomach growling with hunger since he hadn’t eaten dinner the night before. Entering the kitchen, he was surprised to find the brown-haired man there."Buongiorno!" he greeted with a smile. He wore a white shirt untucked over black pants, looking as if he had just woken up. His tanned skin made his dark green eyes stand out as they focused intently on the pan emitting a delicious aroma of spices. The Ita

  • Seducing the Enemy.   To see you again...

The light morning breeze decided to toy with Sotomayor’s hat, snatching it from her head and sending it tumbling several feet away from where she had been standing. Like a little girl, the dark-haired woman ran after it, but the wind kept pushing it farther still—until it collided with the feet of a stranger.Their hands met on the object at the same time, and their eyes locked."Sotomayor?... Jina Sotomayor?" His sweet, foreign-accented voice sent a shiver down the Korean woman’s spine. She raised her grayish gaze to meet his and slowly smiled. She hadn’t expected to see him again—nor did she know how to react to finding him standing there in front of her. She feared he might be angry after she had abandoned him in Europe. But when she saw the smile drawn on his lips, she let out a small cry of joy and embraced the man standing before her."Sotomayor!... I didn’t expect to see you again." He returned her hat and wrapped her in a warm, affectionate hug. "I’ve missed you so much!""

  • Seducing the Enemy.   Open the door!

Present Time..."Did you really get plastic surgery?" Yukio looked at the Korean girl in astonishment. "That explains why it was so hard to recognize you when you came back.""It wasn’t voluntary." She crossed her arms. "And it was painful. They cut my skin and intubated me more than ten times. I remember my body being completely swollen, and the wounds needed a lot of care.""But that doctor did an excellent job. He even gave you a flat, well-toned abdomen." He looked at her with curiosity."That wasn’t from surgery! My body got that athletic shape after I left the hospital!" She stretched her arms lazily and yawned. "When I returned to Paris, I kept up with my workout routine..."Paris, France. Eight months earlier."Then go for a walk!" Eugene-Chan adjusted his glasses and kept typing."Aren’t you coming with me?""I can’t. I have to submit this by Friday, and I feel like I’m not making any progress." He fell silent for a moment, then grinned mischievously as he watched Sotomayor w
