CHAPTER 36
Dwight was watching the news when hsi phone rang. At first he didn't answer, he didn't know who it could be for the number was not one he recognized. He was paranoid for a reason, he had enemies and with everything going on with Sierra and Xavier. After the fourth ring he finally picked up the phone. "Hello?"
He was surprised to hear it was Xavier. "When...Where...I'm on my way!" Could Xavier really have Sierra safe and alive?! He hasn't seen Sierra since she was a little girl. He quickly dialed the phone number that Xavier had given him three days ago.
"Hello?" The voice was hoarse.
"Is this Detective Mack Stone?" Dwight had some trouble coming up with an accent to mask his voice. Xavier specifically instructed him to do this when it concerned Sierra.

Finding Chukc Larson was harder than Brent had expected. As it turns out Chuck lived on a very seclueded piece of property that was owned by his parents. It took Dwight about half an hour to arrive at Xavier's house. He walked around the perimeter, and then came to a steel, bolted door. Tap...tap-tap...tap...rat-ta-tat. It has been such a long time that he was surprised he still remembered the secret knock. The door finally opened and after about ten minutes."What took you so long? I"m freezing my ass off!" Mack couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. He's been getting weird messages on his cell phone and things have been showing up on his door step ever since the bizarre phone call. The first thing that arrived was file on Brent Cummings a.k.a 'The God of Torture'. There was information in there that the police didn't even have, like a psych evaluation that declared him to have a schizophrenic and destructive personality disorder. The doctor at the institution that housed Brent for so long should never have released him, but they were unaware of how manipulative Brent is.
