CHAPTER 45

Cheryl and Mack were waiting on pins and needles for eight o'clock to roll around.  By the time the phone rang it was eight fifteen.  Before he could answer the phone the officer in charge had to set up a trace.  Once the trace was in place he quickly answered.  "Hello?"

"I presume that you've received the photographs that I sent you."  His voice was calm and calculating.

"Yes, we have received the photos.  What do you want from us?"  Mack's voice trembled with anger every time he spoke.

"It's very simple, I want your partner for your daughter's life."  He sounded very smug.

"I thought that you already had Sierra.  We received a text message from Sierra's phone saying that we had a limited amount of time to find her."  Mack had a bad feeling that continued to grow in the pit of his stomach.
