2023-07-29 22:54:51Things are great. Everything is looking up. Reaching a crossroad, I put my foot on the brakes, but nothing happens. Panic rises in me. I look at Jackson, turning the corner, grateful there are no cars.
โThe brakes arenโt working, Jackson.โ My voice is panicked, my legs shaking, unsure what to do.
His laugh throws me. Does he think this is a joke? I have already crashed a car once this month.
โJackson, I mean it. What the hell do I do?โ
He looks up at me now. Seeing the panic in my eyes, his whole body shifts. โRight, change gears, slowly, keep dropping until your in second and move your foot off the clutch slowly.โ
