Chelsea walked out of the café, no longer in the mood for shopping.

After all, her credit card was declined.

Standing in front of the mall, Chelsea made a call to Gisselle. Soon after, Gisselle drove over to pick Chelsea up.

"You won't mind if I crash at your place for a few days, right?" Chelsea got into the car and looked at Gisselle.

"Of course not, sweetie. If you don't mind my humble home," Gisselle said with a grin.

"The villa will soon not be my home." Chelsea shrugged.

"What do you mean?" Gisselle asked while driving her car.

"I'm going to divorce Russell," Chelsea said calmly.

"What?"

Gisselle exclaimed and pulled over.

"We are not going home now. I'll take you to eat and you'll tell me about everything!" Gisselle pulled Chelsea out of the car with a gossiping look on her face.

Chelsea shook her head. Gisselle was grabbing her arm, so she had no choice but to walk with her.

They walked into a restaurant.

Gisselle quickly ordered some food, and the second the waiter left, she asked, "Tell me now. Why do you suddenly want to divorce him?"

Chelsea did not answer Gisselle's question right away.

She took a sip of juice and said, "I saw the news on TV yesterday about Yamilet and a mysterious man enjoying themselves at the theme park."

"Yeah, so?" Gisselle spread her hands, expecting me to elaborate.

"That mysterious man is Russell."

"What?" Gisselle's eyes widened.

Chelsea smiled and said, "Don't look at me like that. You know about his relationship with Yamilet, don't you?"

Gisselle ginned awkwardly. "That was a long time ago. He is a married man now. How come he is still not done with her? And you were sick yesterday! What a jerk! I can't believe he was out with another woman when you were sick at home!"

"Alright, stop. I'm feeling bad enough about my situation." Chelsea shook her head.

The waiter brought their burgers and salads.

Gisselle jabbed hard at the slices of avocado on the plate with her fork. Apparently, they were Russell in her eyes now.

After a moment of silence, Gisselle raised her head and asked, "Then what are you going to do next?"

"I'm going to rent a place and start working on my script."

Gisselle said, "With that pretty face, you should be an actress. Back in college, your version of Juliet was the best in the drama club. Remember?"

Chelsea said with little confidence, "I don't know if I still have what it takes."

"You look perfect in front of the camera. You know that?" Gisselle said. She was not exaggerating it, since Chelsea was the campus belle in college back then.

At the nearby table, the two girls' conversation got Gisselle's attention.

"Check out the T*****r buzz!"

"Oh my God! Yamilet is actually a racist!"

"What? Damn! How's that possible? I liked her a lot."

"Well, not me. She kinda annoys me."

Gisselle and Chelsea glanced at each other and logged on to T*****r at the same time.

The trending topic on T*****r right now was a video about Yamilet.

In the video, Yamilet was having a great time in the theme park. When she was about to experience one of the rides, a female staff was worried that Yamilet's dress might get sucked into the machine, so she lifted the hem of her long dress.

Out of everyone's expectations, Yamilet said in a disgusted tone, "Get your black hands off my dress! You'll ruin it!"

The female staff looked at Yamilet in shock, and then she covered her face and left the scene right away.

Most people were criticizing Yamilet in the discussion surrounding the topic. Some thought she was too rude to the service staff. Others pointed out that Yamilet was somehow a racist.

For a moment, T*****r was ablaze with criticism of Yamilet.

"Is this the woman Russell is obsessed with?" Gisselle scoffed as she put down her phone.

"Let's go home." Chelsea finished her juice and stood up with her bag. "We shouldn't waste our time on a fool."

"That's the spirit!" Gisselle stood up as well.

Just as the two walked out of the restaurant, Chelsea's phone rang.

It was Winston. He said, "Mrs. Murillo, regarding the divorce papers, Mr. Murillo believes that the reason for the divorce needs to be amended."

Chelsea snorted coldly and asked, "Oh, I see. What does he suggest?"

Winston stayed silent for a while and then continued tentatively, "How about... You cheated on him."

"That's creative. Did he lose his mind?" Chelsea almost laughed out loud.

Winston lowered his voice, "Mr. Murillo just got a call from a man who said he paid for your bill and wanted to buy you a drink."

Chelsea was stunned for a second, and then she realized that it must be Vincent, the waiter from the café.

She smiled and said, "The gentleman was doing Russell a favor. Russell would be laughed at if his wife couldn't even pay for a coffee mug."

Then, she hung up the phone directly.

Winston took the phone away and looked at Russell with evident embarrassment.

"Mr. Murillo..."

Russell was silent for a moment with a cold face. Then he said, "Tell her that she ruined my Armani suit, and she needs to come back to pay for it."

The Armani suit on Russell was obviously brand new, yet Winston had no choice but to call Chelsea.

But Chelsea had enough of his harassment.

She said coldly, "Now, tell me what the hell he is up to?"

Perhaps because yesterday was Valentine’s Day, most people chose to get their certificates then, so there weren’t many people registering today at the County Clerk Office. They didn’t have to wait long before it was their turn. When it came time for the photo, there was an issue. Russell wore a black shirt, and Chelsea wore a white dress. In the photo, they looked like a pair of grim reapers.Chelsea immediately protested, “No, it’s too ugly. I want to go home and change.”Russell’s eyelid twitched, and he quickly coaxed, “By the time you change and come back, they’ll be off work. Let’s take the photo now, and we can change it later.”Chelsea turned to ask the staff, “Can we change the photo on the marriage certificate later?”“Of course not. Once it’s stamped, it’s permanent,” the staff replied, pushing the documents over. “You’

**One Year Later**The morning sun was bright as Chelsea opened her eyes. Her slightest movement woke the person next to her. She looked up, meeting his eyes, and realized she was clinging to him like an octopus.Russell’s eyes went from sleepy to alert. He glanced down at Chelsea’s hand resting on his chest and asked, “Does it feel good?”Chelsea quickly pulled her hand back, frowning, “What are you doing in my bed?”Russell sat up, pausing at her question. “Take a good look at whose blanket this is.”Chelsea checked and fell silent. She quietly slipped out of Russell’s blanket and pulled her own over herself.“I used to sleep very still,” Chelsea tried to explain. “It must be because I’m pregnant. The baby must be affecting me.”Russell got out of bed, took off his pajamas, and started putting on a shirt. While buttoning it up, he said, “It&rsq

Russell's body stiffened, doubting whether he had heard correctly. He held his breath and asked, "What did you just say?"Chelsea wasn't shilly-shally. She couldn't deny her feelings for Russell. She had seen all the efforts he had made to win back their relationship. She couldn't keep him hanging in uncertainty forever—no good relationship could endure that. Since they had come this far, it was time to push forward. She turned her head and said, "Isn't trial marriage popular these days? Let's have a trial relationship. I'll give you a probationary period as a boyfriend. If you do well, I'll make it official. If you don't..."Russell immediately interrupted her, "There’s no such possibility. I’ll definitely get a perfect score."Chelsea suppressed a laugh, "Don't make promises too early. I haven't even told you my requirements yet."Russell held her hand, looking attentive, "Go ahead.""I only have one requirement: during the probation period, you can't tell anyone about our relations

The next morning, Chelsea woke up groggily. As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw the clock on the opposite wall—8:30 AM.Startled, she tried to sit up quickly, but just as her back lifted less than ten centimeters off the bed, she fell back down. There was an arm draped across her waist. Chelsea paused, then slowly followed the arm up with her gaze.Russell was lying beside her, eyes closed, not wearing a stitch of clothing. Her head was resting on his left arm, and his right arm was draped across her waist. From this angle, Chelsea could see the ambiguous scratch marks and hickeys on his body...Her mind uncontrollably replayed some strange scenes from last night, and her ears turned bright red.She gently moved Russell’s hand off her waist, planning to slip away unnoticed. But as soon as she moved his hand from her waist, the hand on her shoulder pulled her back into his embrace. With a husky morning voice, he asked softly in her ear, "Where are you going?"Her back pressed again

A single sentence made Russell's boiling blood turn cold.He gritted his teeth and said, "Do you know what you're saying?"Chelsea responded with a simple "Mm."Russell angrily bit her lip, "How dare you just say 'Mm'!"Chelsea winced in pain, frowning, "Don't you men like women who don't need you to take responsibility?"Russell paused, "Who told you men like that?"Unable to control herself, Chelsea reached out to touch him, but Russell held her hand down and guided her softly, "Tell me, and I'll let you touch me."Upon hearing this, Chelsea immediately confessed."Online, in the forums.""What did they say?" Russell unbuttoned one button, continuing to "coax," "Be clear, I'll unbutton more if you explain."Chelsea, already lacking strong willpower, was tortured by the drug's effect, and Russell, the walking antidote, was dangling right in front of her, completely destroying her rationality. She stammered out the whole story. She didn't mention the infertility issue, but how could s

Chelsea's eyelashes trembled. She wondered if she was hallucinating due to the drugs. How else could she be hearing Russell's voice?"Chelsy," the voice came closer, “Chelsea, open your eyes and look, it's me, no one else."Chelsea slowly opened her eyes, her vision shifting from blurry to clear. It was really Russell. The tension drained from her body, and she burst into tears. She hugged Russell tightly, then began to hit and kick him while crying and cursing, "You bastard, you scared me to death!"Russell, knowing he was in the wrong, didn't dare to talk back. No matter how much she resisted, he held her tightly, whispering, "I'm sorry, it was just a joke, all fake. Please, stop crying."Chelsea was genuinely terrified. From being drugged and kidnapped in the car to waking up to the realization that she was drugged, the constant fear had torn at her nerves. There was even a moment when she considered perishing together with her assailant. When her sobs finally subsided to faint sni
