Chelsea woke up. Not fully conscious, she thought she had seen Russell in a dream, so she reached out and took his hand.

She missed the warmth of his palm.

Russell could not help but clutch Chelsea's hand. He used his other hand to brush her cheek and stop on her neck. Her high temperature made him suspicious.

He asked warily, "Why are you burning? Did you take some kind of pills? I'm warning you. Don't you ever think about getting pregnant using these means!"

His words made Chelsea sober up at once.

This was how her husband was. Instead of worrying about whether she was sick, he suspected that this was some side effect of pills to get pregnant.

Chelsea knew that Russell had misunderstood her, but she did not want to tell him that she was simply sick.

She would not beg for Russell's attention.

She acted nonchalantly. "Mr. Murillo, if you did your part well, I won't have to take any additional measures at all."

Russell said sarcastically, "Why do you want kids anyway? Don't tell me it's because you love me too much."

Chelsea couldn't tell whether it was her heart or her head that hurt more. Anyway, she refused to show the white feather. With a smile, she said, "You seem very self-aware. Then you should know why Wendi Murdoch wanted to have Rupert Murdoch's baby even with IVF."

Russell looked at her with disgust and said, "Even if you give birth to a child, I won't give you a penny more. Stop wasting your time."

Chelsea asked in despair, "Russell, why do you hate me so much?"

Russell asked coldly, "Is that important to you?"

He was about to leave the bedroom when Chelsea's voice sounded behind him.

She looked at him and said firmly, "I want a divorce!"

"Fine!"

Russell left the bedroom without turning back.

The next day, Russell walked out of the study. After taking a shower, he came to the living room, looked at the empty dining table, and frowned.

Without a word, he turned on his laptop and began to check his emails from work.

Time passed. The bedroom door was still shut and Chelsea never came out.

Russell was getting more and more agitated.

He and Chelsea fought a lot after they got married, but no matter how hard they argued the day before, she would still make breakfast for him the next day.

Today was the only exception.

Russell used up his patience. He walked to the bedroom door and pushed it open.

To his surprise, the room was empty.

He wondered, 'Where did she go?'

Russell thought for a moment and walked to the wardrobe. Yet Chelsea wasn't hiding in it as he suspected.

A piece of paper fell from the wardrobe.

Russell caught it and saw a sentence written on it.

"Breakfast is in the fridge."

'I knew it. She just can't help loving me,' he thought. He could not help but raise the corners of his mouth slightly, and his mood was getting better.

He walked back to the living room and opened the fridge.

But there was no breakfast in the fridge, only a document.

He reached for the papers and looked through them as his face turned gloomier.

It was divorce papers.

When he saw the line about the reasons for the divorce, his face turned even more sullen.

She put down "lack of duration" as her reason for divorcing him.

Just as Russell was about to tear up the papers, his phone rang. He picked up the phone and heard Chelsea's voice.

"Good morning, Mr. Murillo. Did you enjoy the breakfast?"

Chelsea sounded brisk and she was obviously in a good mood.

"What do you mean by 'lack of duration'?" Russell gritted his teeth and asked.

"I know. I get it. It's kind of embarrassing for you. Well, since I am filing for divorce, I must tell the truth. Don't you think?" Chelsea said nonchalantly.

"Really? How long will it take to satisfy you?" Russell's voice was filled with anger.

"Not two minutes anyway."

"Chelsea!"

Russell roared, but before he could finish, Chelsea had already hung up the phone.

Standing in front of the largest mall in Lorwick, Chelsea felt great watching the traffic.

Unfortunately, her good mood did not last long.

She had planned to go on a shopping spree at the mall. However, she had just walked into a high-end café when she accidentally bumped into a coffee mug on the display shelf at the door.

It fell to the ground and shattered into pieces.

A waiter immediately walked over to see if Chelsea was hurt, and then he said kindly, "Ma'am, I'm afraid you have to pay for it."

"Sure thing," Chelsea said as she took out her credit card.

The waiter took the card and soon returned. He said apologetically, "Sorry, Ma'am, but your card is declined."

Chelsea took a deep breath. She knew at once that Russell had everything to do with it.

"Ma'am? Do you have another card?" the waiter looked at Chelsea and asked.

Chelsea kept her composure and then flicked her wavy blonde hair from her shoulders.

A charming smile tugged at her lips.

"Do you have a pen and paper?" she asked.

The tall waiter, who had never seen such a beautiful woman before, was stunned for a second. Then he came back to his senses and immediately brought Chelsea a pen and paper.

Chelsea bit off the pen cap, lowered her head slightly, and quickly wrote down a phone number.

Then she gave it to the waiter.

She glanced at his name tag.

"I don't have any other cards, but I'm sure you can handle this for me, right, Vincent?"

The waiter felt the piece of paper with her number on it burning in his hand.

He nodded subconsciously.

Chelsea then flashed him a charming smile and walked away.

She didn't put down her number. The number belonged to Russell.

Russell took the cake away, finally freeing Chelsea's hands. She shook her sore fingers and shot Russell a glance."Look at how many children were surrounding that cake. By the time I finished eating and went over, the delicious fruit on top had already been snatched up."Russell was speechlessly, "But you couldn't have brought back two fortresses, right? Fighting children for food, aren't you ashamed?"Chelsea forked a piece of mango, eating and speaking, "What's so shameful about this? The little ones are much kinder than you, each of them scooped a spoonful for me, otherwise how could I have piled it so high by myself?"Russell didn't quite believe it.Just as he was about to speak, a child suddenly came over with candy.
