Chapter four(The birth of Selena)

"WHAT!.......

" I can't cheat on you and you of all people know that and besides, you ask too many questions. We need to leave before those warriors see us……" Robin pleaded.

"I am asking too many questions that I noticed you cheating on me with that witch that you called friend……" she half yelled angrily at him. Robin ruffles his hair in frustration as he watches his wife blabbering non-stop.

"Then if you weren't cheating on me, what is the connection between you two? And why should a necklace be the symbol of your connection with her?" She questioned as her eyebrow perked up in confusion.

Turning to face her, his once hardened and angry face softens as he stares at his wife. "The glint of the necklace is what signifies that she was now aware that we were close to her place and she needed to come out of the water to lead us to the crucial place," he explained.

"Fine….. I will just trust you on this one," she murmured. Smiling as he tried guiding his wife on how to jump on the water, he felt footsteps behind them.

"NOW JUMP!!......" He screamed as he forcefully pushed his wife inside the water.

"Ahh….." Susan screamed with nervousness as she felt herself falling deep into the water.

"ROBIN!!!!" She wailed noticing that her husband tried fighting the warriors to stop them from coming after his wife and their unborn child. She watched with terror and panic as the warriors pierced a sharp silver blade into his heart, forcefully pulling the knife Robin fell with blood sprinkling the whole place like a loosely opened tap water.

"No!!!....." That was her last cry before she felt herself dipped into the water, she felt herself suffocating as she entered deep inside the water. Struggling to free herself out of the water, the necklace on her neck glows. The more she battled to free herself the more the necklace glowed and lit inside the water and before she knew it there was a tremendous sound inside the water scaring her. Nervously holding her belly, the water was seen strongly pulling her to somewhere else. She felt the weight of the water strongly hauling her to another place more like the depth of the water. She couldn't scream nor fight, the death of her mate weighed her down and shattered her into pieces but her only hope was her unborn child inside her stomach.

Trying to give up, remembering her baby makes her strongly force her eyelid open. She couldn't give up not now that she had lost her husband and she knew that giving up and allowing her fear to get the best of her won't make her husband proud of her. She knew that the baby is the only thing keeping her alive, and she wasn't ready to lose her pup.

Tears trail down her cheeks as her husband's death flooded her mind and thoughts, sobbing hard her tears got mixed with water. Her husband died when trying to save her and the baby, she sees it as her fault for if she hadn't delayed him by asking unnecessary questions this couldn't have happened. Her husband couldn't have died, the warriors couldn't have killed her husband.

Gradually moving deep into the water, she allowed darkness to take over since she couldn't fight back the pain in her heart which seemed much for her to bear. She felt an empty hole inside her and she knew that her husband has died, the only man that has ever loved and cared for her has finally been wiped out of the earth's surface, the only man that has loyally stayed with her despite her not being able to conceive a pup for a long time since after their marriage. Sinking deeply into the water, she closed her eyes and allowed the water to effortlessly pull her away.

Noticing a liquid substance in between her legs, she felt something pressing her vagina like it was trying to force itself out of her vagina. It was painful for her to bear, causing her to snap herself back to reality.

"Ahh……!!" She painfully screamed, not caring to check where she was lying. The pain was much for her to notice her surroundings but all she knows is that she was no longer inside the water.

"Ahh…..!!!!" Screaming as she tried forcing the stuff out of her vagina, she noticed the door hurriedly yanked open by a woman in her sixties rushing inside the room toward her with panic.

"Hey, calm down, first," placing her hands in between her legs to widen her leg, the woman said to her with a calm tone.

"Ahh……!!!" Ignoring the woman as the pain was too much for her, she tried closing her legs to lessen the pain but the woman squatted her hands away and slowly widened her legs.

"Breath, first, this is your baby's head that is coming out….." The woman mumbled to her with a tender tone.

"My ba…by but it is painful," Susan cried out.

"Calm down, just quietly push," the woman guided her.

"Ahhh……!!!

" Huh…..!!!!!

"Hmmm……!!" Susan screamed in pain, with a heavy breath as she tried pushing the baby. She knew that childbirth is always painful but she never knew that it would be this painful and draining.

"I curse you, Marcus!" She sadly exclaimed as more tears rolled down her cheeks. Biting her mouth she let out a sob, she looked weak and wasn't sure if she could still have the strength to push the baby.

"Come on, you are almost there….. Just a little more push and the baby will be out," the old woman delightfully uttered.

Wiggling her head at the woman, she cried out. She doesn't have any more strength to push the baby out, she is weak, devastated, and overwhelmed with pain to move around or to even push any baby out of her vagina. She felt empty as the death of her husband was killing her within, she was heartbroken and sad to even think straight.

"No…..!!!" She cried out loud as an unexpected strength overwhelmed her and she pushed out the baby.

"Yes…." The old woman applauded as she slowly wrapped the baby around her palms, breathing heavily. Susan watched as her baby let out a cry.

"Is a baby girl," the woman cheerfully announced.

Susan's smile widened at the news but her breath got hitched in her throat as something glinted on her baby's neck, she and the woman watched in utter disbelief as a moon mark reflected on her child's neck. The Mark on her neck glows and lits the whole place, Susan's heartthrob as she stares at her baby despite the mark being intruding to look at but Susan knew better than the life of her daughter was in danger and that she is the one that the moon goddess has honored to bring down the angry demon Marcus.

"A great one has been born!

" The one that the fate of the supernatural lies in her palms!"

"Long live the young and amazing soul!"

Lifting the child a bit up with her head cast down, the old woman chanted in a language that Susan couldn't get. The more she chants in an odd language the baby wails and before they knew it the room brightens as moonlight penetrates inside the room through a small opening in the wall blinking on the child's face. The more the light reflects on the child, the more the moon mark on her neck gleams. After some time the light dimmed and the room returned to the normal position and color with the baby innocently sleeping.

"Who are you?" Susan managed to voice the word out of her mouth.

"I am the daughter of Amber," the woman replied.

"AMBER!!" Susan shrank in confusion, "Amber the great witch, so she has a daughter?"

"Yes…." She retorted.

"Then how did you find me?" Susan questioned.

"I gave your husband a necklace to bring you two safely here when he came rushing to me for help……. His cry melted my heart and I decided to help though it is sad news that he couldn't make it," she muttered sadly.

"How did he find you?" Susan asked as she needed to know the person that she will be leaving her daughter in her care since she is weak and not sure if she could make it alive in the next thirty minutes.

"Fate brought us together……. The moon goddess always has her way, she knew that you were carrying the supposed child and I am the only one that could help and that's why our paths crossed," she explained.

"Please I have longed to have a child of mine for a long time and having one now is a thing of joy to me……. I have always wanted to know what childbirth feels like but now that I have experienced everything it doesn't make me any happy rather it weighed me down to see my only child. The only daughter of mine, that her life was in danger,"

"I regret bringing her to this world! She is too young and weak to face Marcus….." Susan cried out.

"Don't underestimate the power of the moon goddess," the woman warned.

"Please just do me a favor," Susan pleaded.

"I know that moon goddess has a good reason but I am scared of losing my child," she sobbed.

"You won't lose her, rather she will be a conqueror and will bring peace to the supernatural……" the old woman assures her.

"She looked beautiful…." Smiling Susan muttered, "Therefore I will name her Selena…."

Immediately the name slipped out of her mouth, the mark on the baby's neck sparkled brightly as a tender smile curled up her lips.

"Please take good care of her for me…. And tell her how much her parents love her and care for her," Susan pleaded as her face turned sour due to the pain that she was passing through.

"I will……" the old woman promised.

Kissing her daughter's forehead, she closed her eyes and allowed death to take over but not without giving the daughter and the woman a small smile. Immediately her mother gave up and died, Selena let out a hurtful cry as the tremendous wind strongly hit the house. The woman wrapped her around her as she used a white cloth to cover up the mother, instructing her house maidens to move the corpse to the supposed place. She stood up with the baby in her arms and exited the place without turning back.
