Joanna's POV
*Thump, thump*
Did you hear that? I think that was the sound of my heart as it tried to beat out of my chest.
I didn't know what was wrong with me, but I swear I saw Tony coming in slow mode, you heard me right, in slow motion like a lion quietly walking to its prey because it was sure they couldn't escape, and guess what? I was that prey with no possible means of escape, Yay! you feel my sarcasm?
"Well, well well." He smirked, "who's this cutie here?"
"Oh shit." I swallowed and felt my heart, beat faster in fear.
He kept coming closer, while I tried to move back, at the same time placing a palm on my chest, in a bid to stop the drumming of my heart, and the bad news, my back hit the fucking wall. "Shit, shit, shit," I muttered.
"What's your name beautiful." He winked, and placed his arm on the wall behind me, and brought his face to the same level as mine, where I could see every line on his face and perceive his intoxicating scent.
When I thought things couldn't get worse, it so damn did, how you may ask. Well, my nose got tickled by his perfume again, which meant, I sneezed, again, and this time it was directly in his face, I fucking sneezed on his damn face!
"Shit." I groaned. "Kill me now, heavens please take me, I've embarrassed myself enough to die, so please do the honor and save me from this humiliation."
"What the fuck!" He yelled as he stared at me in shock.
"Am sorry, am so so sorry," I begged, and did my best not to faint from the amount of embarrassment I had brought upon myself.
"Sorry can't fix this." He growled and wiped his face with his hands before he sent me a glare.
"I'm so sorry once more, please I am. I think am kind of allergic to your perfume or cologne, whatever am sorry." I sighed.
"How is that my business, you fvcking sneezed in my damn face." He grumbled while he pressed me to the wall, and that was when something in me snapped as I'd had enough of his bullshit.
"Jeez dude, I've said sorry like a thousand times already, or are you deaf?" I asked, with a challenging look.
< Oh no >
< Did she just >
< Did she call him deaf >
< Oh, She's so dead >
< Rip new girl >
I heard people muttering, including Harmony my so-called rib crusher, and yes I called him that because his hugs could kill a person, hope you saw what happened earlier when he hugged me, I nearly passed out.
"What did you say?" Tony questioned loudly, which snapped me out of my silly thoughts.
Focus Joanna focus, I silently willed myself.
"Dude chill, I said I was sorry, okay? Stop yelling." I groaned, fed up with all the drama. I mean, it was my first day at school and I'd already stirred up enough drama to last me a lifetime.
"Who are you to tell me what to do!" He roared, yeah he literally roared.
"I ain't telling you what to do, I'm just saying sorry okay, chill a bit." I forced a smile, despite my fear.
I noticed him shaking, his nose flared, his muscles tightened, ready to attack, but luckily for me, the bell rang for the next period.
"Thank God." I sighed in gratitude, letting out the breath I didn't know I was holding. "Oh thank you heavens."
"This isn't over." He smirked before he stormed off, his two friends behind him.
I then turned to Harmony in anger after they had left. "You," I voiced out and pulled him by the ear while I trudged down the hall, pissed.
"What the hell, did I do?" He whined. "Ouch, ouch that hurts, shit, just tell me what I did already."
"You could have at least stopped me from sneezing," I whisper yelled.
"How the heck was I supposed to know you were allergic to his cologne. It wasn't my fault you couldn't hold it in till he passed." He scoffed.
"Alright," I blurted after which I released his ear from my grip in a sigh. "Only because I think you are right."
"You think? bitch am 100% right." He winked.
"Yeah yeah, nada nada, you are buying me lunch." I smiled.
"How, when, what___, Oh Dang it, Okay." He groaned as he gave in to my puppy dog look.
"Well thank you." I grinned and planted a chaste kiss on his cheek, don't judge me I love my food.
"Great, now that's settled, let's get back to class." He smiled.
"Nerdy," I muttered under my breath.
"What did you say?" He asked with a weird stare.
"Nothing." I laughed, knowing he heard me. "What's our next class."
"Chemistry." He smiled after he had checked his timetable.
Harmony and I were both offering science courses, so we basically had the same classes, except when he had Agriculture and I had Animal husbandry.
"Uggh, I hate Chemistry," I grunted.
"You hate every subject except Animal Husbandry and English." He rolled his eyes.
"That, my friend, is so true." I nodded, after which I intertwined my arm with his, as we walked to class.
Reaching class, Harmony immediately left me to get a seat, so I searched around for the next empty one.
My eyes scanned the area till I spotted a vacant one. "Thank God." I breathed in relief, but I guess I spoke too soon because the person sat beside it was none other than, Mr bad boy, Aka Tony.
"Shit," I muttered and slowly dragged my legs to the said seat, beside the devil.
"Well hello there sneezer," His annoying voice whispered.
"Ignore him, Ignore him," I willed myself as I got settled.
"Psst, Psst," He hissed.
"Ignore him, he's just the devil reincarnate, don't let him get to you," I chanted, as I took deep breathes, to keep calm until I felt something sting my skin,
"What!" I hissed and whirled to see him smirk at me with a sharp pencil in his grip.
"Ooh, so you heard me, I was starting to think you were deaf," He replied, a challenging expression on his face.
I chuckled, "Nah, you are the deaf one, remember when I called you that, in the hallway?"
"Nope," he responded with a shake of his head. "I couldn't forget the girl who sneezed in my face so easily like that."
"Hmmmmm," I grinned. "Well, come to think of it, I don't regret it at all."
"Joanna, Tony, is there something you would like to share with the class?" Our chemistry teacher called, as she gave us pointed looks.
"Nope!" We both replied at the same time, which sounded weird.
Tony and I then glanced at each other with freaked out expressions, that we burst out laughing afterward.
What a turn of events, I thought feeling weird.
Joanna's POV It's been a month since I came to be in this school and may I say it's going well, that's apart from the occasional glares Tony and I exchange whenever we cross parts and the fact that Blake, Ifeanyi, Harmon,y and I can tolerate each other to the point of exchanging pleasantries. Well, today is the starting of another week and I remember we were told by one of our teachers about a test today on a subject I don't remember. I shook my head to rid it of education thoughts despite that I just stepped into the school hallway. Speaking of, I immediately noticed it was buzzing with some recent news, how you may ask, well it's because students were
Joanna's POV"Damn, am loving that smile." Harmony winked at her as she walked past us."I could swear that smile was for me." Tony scoffed."Nah, it wasn't." Harmony smirked."It was." Tony beamed, with a mischievous smile on his face.I could see what he was doing, trying to rile Harmony up. I need to stop this before fists start flying, and trust me, it will. If you've been around these two for a while you would know am not joking."Guys," I called, no answer."Hey Guys," I tried to get their attention, but none gave me a listening ear as they were both busy arguing over a girl who didn't know they existed."Shut up children!" I yelled and offered them both a smack upside the head to get their attention, and from the way, they were both glaring at me, I guess I succeeded."What the---"Chi
Joanna's POVSchool went on with much drama as it always does and before I knew it we were in our senior year or should I say final year of secondary school (high school) and that's if we pass our final exams, If not we have to stay back another year and retake the exams. In my country the final year students don't write the usual school exams, instead we write the West African Examination Council general exams or as we like to call it 'WAEC'.Final year students like us don't learn because this whole year is occupied with notes and practicals together with enough free time to read for the exams.Special well behaved students are given authorities at this level to control other students or as we like to call it 'Rule the School'.Most idiots struggle to get this position by all means but a girl like me who hates attention doesn't give a shot about that.&nbs
Joanna's POVLaying with the Love of my life which is my bed, I heard voices coming from downstairs..*Please stop, please, please stop* I internally begged trying to cover my ears the best I could and sleep in but no the sounds increased, as if it's possible. If you are wondering why am still sleeping maybe you can guess. Yeah it's saturday, oh yeah oh yeah. I silently sang doing a little happy dance, since the noise couldn't let me continue my sleep."Mom!" I heard Elvis whine from downstairs. He is an internal 3 year old trust me.Groaning, I looked at the time on my wall clock and noticed its still 12:15pm. Don't look at me like that I need my beauty sleep, but I don't get the chance to sleep long enough because of freaking school.I groaned again once more and got up from my bed as I promised it that I was coming back while giving it a kiss.
Joanna's POVGroaning and murmuring like a deranged monster I trudged as fast as I could which currently seems like a snails pace along the hallway of doom which you all know as the school's hallway."Hunie pie!" I cringed inwardly as I heard Tenda say while she bounced energetically towards me. I love that bitch but sometimes her cheerful attitude can really get to me, especially at a time like this."Hey," I mumbled weakly, waving at her with the little strength left in me."Woah, Woah, Woah!" She exclaimed to which I just smiled."What the hell happened to you," She asked gazing at me with concern written all over her face."Mother nature happened," I replied, wincing as I felt another cramp pass through me."Awwwn, sorry babes." She sighed, before hugging me.I hugged her back patting her on the back as I heard

Joanna's POV "Thank GOD it's Friday!" Harmony yelled in a sing-song voice, that shattered my earbuds. "Dude! you're destroying my hearing capacity." I scowled while I rubbed at them in a bid to reduce the impact of his horrible tone. "What's with you bitch?" He questioned. "Why are you acting all grumpy this early morning, mother nature still disturbing you?" "Nah." I shook my head in reply. "It's just lack of sleep." "Why, did you have hot wild sex last night?" He wiggled his eyebrows. "I don't even know the reason." I shrugged. "And eeew, who the hell on GOD's green earth has sex during their monthly flow." "Well, since you denied it, place a smile on that pretty ass face of yours and dance with me," He spoke before he swayed his hips from left to right. I chuckled at his silly ways and joined him in singing. "Thank GOD i
Joanna's POVIts currently morning, I thought and groaned before I tried opening my eyes but it won't freaking open.Okay I'm currently blind, time to panic, I thought as I screamed."Somebody help, my eyes are stuck, they won't open!""Shut up bitch I'm trying to sleep, " I heard Elvis grumble from his room which was after mine.I rubbed my eyes which finally helped as it opened, but I regretted it later because of the brightness that streamed through the open window.
