Joanna's POV Playing my favorite song, 'If I were a boy' by Beyonce, my mind stayed afloat. Alone with my thoughts and nothing else. I didn't even realize that I was at the school's entrance until I heard voices from inside the school - people were shouting and doing their daily stuff. I immediately put my phone away to hide it from the authorities before they seized it. Phones weren't prohibited at this school but are not used except in the cafeteria, nowhere else. Entering the school's premises, I knew that I was late because classes had started a while ago and guess what? The gossiping teachers Harmony told me about were attending to latecomers and at the same time, searching for interesting topics to gossip about. I knew how schools like this worked. I've heard stories from Harmony and Elvis. Harmony was my childhood friend, he attended this school but he decided to search for another school in Enugu, where he traveled to for the holidays. Apparently, he couldn't imagine facin

Joanna's POV *Thump, thump* Did you hear that? I think that was the sound of my heart as it tried to beat out of my chest. I didn't know what was wrong with me, but I swear I saw Tony coming in slow mode, you heard me right, in slow motion like a lion quietly walking to its prey because it was sure they couldn't escape, and guess what? I was that prey with no possible means of escape, Yay! you feel my sarcasm? "Well, well well." He smirked, "who's this cutie here?" "Oh shit." I swallowed and felt my heart, beat faster in fear. He kept coming closer, while I tried to move back, at the same time placing a palm on my chest, in a bid to stop the drumming of my heart, and the bad news, my back hit the fucking wall. "Shit, shit, shit," I muttered. "What's your name beautiful." He winked, and placed his arm on the wall behind me, and brought his face to the same level as mine, where I could see every line on his face and perceive his intoxicating scent. When I thought things couldn't

Joanna's POV"Damn, am loving that smile." Harmony winked at her as she walked past us."I could swear that smile was for me." Tony scoffed."Nah, it wasn't." Harmony smirked."It was." Tony beamed, with a mischievous smile on his face. I could see what he was doing, trying to rile Harmony up. I need to stop this before fists start flying, and trust me, it will. If you've been around these two for a while you would know am not joking. "Guys," I called, no answer. "Hey Guys," I tried to get their attention, but none gave me a listening ear as they were both busy arguing over a girl who didn't know they existed."Shut up children!" I yelled and offered them both a smack upside the head to get their attention, and from the way, they were both glaring at me, I guess I succeeded."What the---"Chi

Joanna's POV  Laying with the Love of my life which is my bed, I heard voices coming from downstairs..*Please stop, please, please stop* I internally begged trying to cover my ears the best I could and sleep in but no the sounds increased, as if it's possible. If you are wondering why am still sleeping maybe you can guess. Yeah it's saturday, oh yeah oh yeah. I silently sang doing a little happy dance, since the noise couldn't let me continue my sleep.  "Mom!" I heard Elvis whine from downstairs. He is an internal 3 year old trust me. Groaning, I looked at the time on my wall clock and noticed its still 12:15pm. Don't look at me like that I need my beauty sleep, but I don't get the chance to sleep long enough because of freaking school. I groaned again once more and got up from my bed as I promised it that I was coming back while giving it a kiss.

Joanna's POV Groaning and murmuring like a deranged monster I trudged as fast as I could which currently seems like a snail's pace along the hallway of doom which you all know as the school's hallway. "Hunie pie!" I cringed inwardly as I heard Tenda say while she bounced energetically towards me. I love that bitch but sometimes her cheerful attitude can really get to me, especially at a time like this. "Hey," I mumbled weakly, waving at her with the little strength left in me. "Woah, Woah, Woah!" She exclaimed to which I just smiled. "What the hell happened to you," She asked gazing at me with concern written all over her face. "Mother nature happened," I replied, wincing as I felt another cramp pass through me. "Awwwn, sorry babes." She sighed, before hugging me.I hugged her back-patting her on the back as I hear
