Prologue
Dark shadows lurked in the trees, hidden by the leaves, the moonlight was unable to find them. They walked with silence, unheard to nature. The men dressed in camouflage, and were armed with shotguns and crossbows. They split into teams to surround the beast and his family. Their mission to kill the beast, and anything like him. The howls filled the air as the men began their hunt. As the beast ran with his pack, the lead hunter aimed for his mate. With one shot of his crossbow, he hited her in the back, going straight through.. Blood splattered out at the force. They had got the beast's attention.

It was the night of the full moon. Me and my family were having a blast, running through the woods. The wind was blowing, the sky brightened by the moon, and the trees danced as we flew past. The boy ran to me; fearing he would hit me, I ran under the bed. “Lyra, I was just joking! Come out, I am sorry I scared you!” I could see the boy feeling around. I am debating on biting him. He scared me. It is only fair if I get him back. My father said biting would always show a person's true nature. I ran towards his hand, and bit him as hard as I could. “Ahhhhh!” He screamed. I let go as he raised his hand in pain. He looked in my direction, and began to cry. He actually had tears going down his face, but they were red… like blood. “I’m sorry Lyra… I won’t be mean again… I promise.” I could not understand him. There was sadness in his voice as he spoke the words, as if it was an unspoken secret. I was shocked though; he acts as if he can see. “How can you see everything then? Kilian was very hesitant to give me my own room. He said that I was his pet, and should sleep with him. That he would never be my lover. I laughed at this thought. I do not know if it was against pack rules to date a vampire, but I did know he is a boy, and I am a girl. I do not want to chance him finding out my secret… or worse… him falling for my werewolf side. No one outside my pack has seen my werewolf form. We always made sure to hide our tails, and ears. It has been a Minute since I have walked on my feet. I felt as if I was taking my first steps again. My balance was wobbly. I slowly walked to the mirror while holding the walls. I steadied myself in front of it, and looked at the clear reflection of myself. I stood 4’8 tall. I am shorter than Kilianby 2inches. I have blue eyes, and caramel brown skin. My shoulders are broad. My chest is just starting to grow. My figure is not skinny. I have muscles in all the right places. I was buff for my age. That came with being a werewolf. High metabolism. My nose is round with rosy cheeks besides it. My lips are small. I have no real body features yet. because I am not done growing yet. I was in awe of myself. I looked at my ears and tail. My ears are grayish white with a black outline. My tail is the same white with a little black dot at the tip of it. I am a gray wolf after all.
