Chapter 21: Aftermath

Amari POV:

Waking up startled and not knowing where I am, my eyes land on a silhouette. I let out a scream when it stood up

"You're safe Amari, don't worry I got you, sweetheart," he says nearing me. He sits on the edge of the bed by my feet. It's a man. Bringing my legs closer to my chest I look around one more time. I don't recognize this room it smells like a man's room

"What's happening....where am I," I ask him. His jaw twitches and he tries to reach for my hand but I pull away. Who is he and why does he keep trying to touch me

"Sweetheart, you have been in a mini coma for 3 weeks," he says looking worried. Coma for 3 weeks what the hell happened and where's my mom

"Okay but who are you" I cautiously say not wanting to offend him since he clearly knows me

"Sweetheart it's me, S-Xavier" he stumbles on his words. Looking at his body language his all tense

"Am I supposed to know who you are" I raise my eyebrow at him. He blows out a breath whilst running his hands through his hair
