Second kiss and suspicion

My mind went blank as I felt his lips move against mine. It was a soft and tender kiss, yet at the same time, it was filled with so much passion and longing. I felt my legs go weak, like cotton, and I couldn't believe what was happening.

As Christopher pulled away, I opened my eyes to see him looking at me with a knowing smile. He knew exactly how he had affected me, and I couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

He spoke softly, his voice laced with a hint of uncertainty, "Why did you run away when you saw me?" He asked, gently brushing a strand of hair from my face.

"Was it because of that Christmas tree incident?"

A deep shade of embarrassment flushed my cheeks, and I covered my face, unable to make eye contact. Nervously, I nodded, murmuring, "Yes, I was embarrassed... and confused."

A warm smile tugged at Christopher's lips, his eyes twinkling with affection.

He chuckled and shook his head. “You’re so cute when you’re embarrassed,” he said, his blue eyes sparkling with amusement.
