Her body jolted, but the cuffs kept her restrained on the table, blood trickling down her arm. My jaw tightened as I watched her.

She deserved worse.

"Please! You know me!" she sobbed, her body shaking in insane pain.

I stopped looking at her and whispered, "Who the fuck are you?"

My lips curled in disgust. I leaned in, my voice dropping to something dark that I wasn’t able to identify.

My tone was low, but the danger in it was clear… and I was sure she could sense it.
